We booked this hotel for two nights-April 30th/May 1st. 2012 before embarking on a transatlantic cruise to Rome, Italy. A word on Priceline(name your own bid), we have used this many times and previously have always been very satisfied with the eventual deal. This Hyatt is listed and positioned as a 4 star hotel, it is in fact a rather... More

Everyone, down to the towel booth attendant at the pool, was attentive and helpful, and just very relaxed, which helped me relax, even thought there on business. Things that broke were fixed with attention by very pleasant people - TV circuit board, very small error on bill, Hyatt Gold Passport number added to reservation, for examples. Our conference is moving,... More

We booked this hotel because of the reputation of the Hyatt (and our positive past experiences), the great price, and the close proximity to the Cruise Ship piers. When we arrived, we were treated with very friendly, helpful service and were pleasantly surprised to receive a fantastic upgrade to stay in the tower. The hotel was lovely and the grounds... More

Hotel allowed us to check in at 7:30 AM for the upcoming night after taking a red-eye flight into Fort Lauderdale - we were SO relieved. Was disappointed that our room was not in the tower, though. Not sure if there are standard rooms in the tower, but we got a King bed that was on the waterway, which was... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in April 2012 prior to embarking for a cruise. First night in a Lanai room was a bad experience as the air conditioning was ancient and extremely noisy. Pity as the room was OK. After complaining and asking for a quieter room, the second night was spent in a tower room. This is a completely... More

In it's day I'm sure that the Hyatt was a top destination. However, there are now much better hotels in Fort Lauderdale at a similar price. The check-in was very good and the staff were excellent. However, the room was rather tired and really could do with an update. We were there during the Air and Sea Show and the... More

Stayed recently in the lanai part. Although the rooms are older, they are kept updated with up to date furnishings. Rooms are bigger than most of today's hotel rooms. Lobby and bar area are very nice. Staff was friendly. Only downside was outrageous charges for parking. $25 for valet per day and $22 for self park per day, but all... More

I have never stayed at a hotel and been charged to park. For that reason I will not be staying here in july. When you are paying over a hundred dollars a night, you should not have to pay to park your car. I understand charging people when they are not checked in to the hotel but not when I... More

I returned to this hotel last month after several years of not travelling to Fort Lauderdale. The Pier 66 is located adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway about a 4-5 min drive to the beaches on A1A. The property consists of a multi-story tower and a two story complex referred to as the lanais. The hotel anchors a property that includes... More

I had to travel for my company and they had all of us stay that this hotel. It was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. It was also not too far a ride from the airport. More
