We chose this hotel on the way to the Florida Keys. It was out of the way so it was hard to find. The night clerks were very friendly but the morning clerks were not. The room was clean, but we were missing the tv remote. I called the front desk and they did not have a replacement. So when... More

We stayed at this hotel in January because we thought it would be a good home base to visit the Everglades, and Biscayne National Parks. We were right.I was the perfect place. It was close to good restaurants, the room was clean and plenty big enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful. AND, I used my Best Western points to get... Very clean and nice. Stayed one night on our way down to Key West. Friendly staff. Large rooms, bathrooms. Nice AM breakfast. Close to dining. Fabulous pool area, but the pool was not very clean. Overall a great place to stay. More

Stayed here 28th Jan 2012, we were in the area for the Homestead Rodeo but it would be a good location as a launch point for the keys. There were two main negative points that come to mind, firstly there are no safes in the rooms and its noisey, the noise were cars parked outside the rooms arriving late and... More

The hotel was generally OK, but in a pretty crappy area -- we wanted a nice dinner, but Applebee's seemed to be the height of local cuisine. My major complaints about the hotel were three: * The room's A/C worked, but it came on like a jet engine for about two minutes every twenty. Very noisy. * The hotel's laundry's... More

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff could tells us about restaurants in the area and driving directions. I called a couple times before arriving to make reservations and ask questions and they were very nice and patient with me. Our room was clean and spacious. The... More

This was a good launching point for visiting the park. The beds were a little better than expected and it was generally clean. The continental breakfast was good. Also, another really nice thing was that the laundry machines on site are free. Yeah, no quarters necessary. Just make sure you have some detergent and dryer sheets and you can get... More

We got this hotel last minute for 1 night while touring the Everglades. First off, Florida City is not the greatest, but it is a great jumping off point for some early morning Everglades excursions. This seemed to be one of the better hotels in the area. Several other hotels have barbed wire fences around them and while this one... More

We stayed in the Best Western, after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. The service and rooms were very good, though after dark it's not very well lit and could do with an illuminated entrance and car park lighting. Breakfast is served behind the reception area and includes cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, if you don't fancy the cereals option. During our... More

We wanted a hotel near the Everglades and booked two rooms through the Southwest Airlines website. This hotel eventually charged $35 each room more than the advertised price on Southwest, claiming a 13% tax (FL tax, county tax, whatever). We stayed at three other hotels in Florida during our Christmas vacation. All charged exactly the advertised price. Why do't they? More
