I've stayed here years ago and this time was even better! We stayed in a cottage close to the pool(perfect for the kids). It was very clean and the perfect size for our party of 3. The kitchen was well supplied. We borrowed beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards for a very short walk to the beach. The beach was... more

My boyfriend and I "planned" a trip to no where in particular this past weekend - we live at the beach in Jacksonville so we just wanted something different. Not having a destination made for an interesting weekend: After beginning at the Tomoka camp grounds & deciding that wasn't it, we headed up A1A & decided Flagler seemed like the... more

I stayed at the Whale Watch on the week-end of June 5, 2009 with my daughter and her two children ages 9 and 10. We had a standard room which we loved (room 5). I had requested a microwave and there was one in the room when we arrived. The refrigerator was the perfect size and there was a coffee... more

The Whale Watch is the perfect place to get away from everything. We were looking for solitude, peace and quiet, a laid back environment with friendly locals and THIS IS IT. Even the OWNER was laid back, peaceful and quiet. He was so friendly, we invited him in for a Corona and a lime! Perfect host. We called ahead to... more

We stayed at the Whale Watch for 4 days and 3 nights last week and really had a great time. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable even though it was a queen and we sleep on a king at home. I usually have an allergic reaction to products used to clean motel rooms and detergent used on... more

I stay at the "Whale" every chance I get when I am visiting in the area. Where else can you walk for miles and have the beach all to yourself. Where else can you open the door and watch the sun rise over the ocean practically in your lap. Laid back with lots of privacy and room to roam along... more

These guests (2 adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs) booked a cottage for a Friday and Saturday night. They arrived 9:30 Friday night, were shown their accomodations, and said they would be fine. They did not complain or voice any concerns. We normally close our office at 9:00 but received an urgent message on our phone system about midnight. We returned...

Not one of the fanciest places, but rooms were clean. Owners were very nice. It needs a little sprucing up, but the neighborhood is quiet. Not a place for spring breakers, but a place to feel comfortable and safe. The beach is very private and you can walk for a long ways before you see anyone. Nice getaway if you... more

Do not come here if you want crowds, noise, high rises, or room service. Do stay hereif you want peace and quite, old Florida, a wonderful beach, very clean rooms, relaxation, super friendly owners. This place may not be for everyone but it was perfect for us. We can't wait to come again and will bring our dog next time.... more

I have stayed at the Whale Watch Motel three times over the past four years. It is not luxurious...but it is clean and comfortable. The owners, Barry and Patricia are so personable and helpful, and they remember me from visit to visit. You do not feel like a tourist here...you feel like you live there. The beach is no more... more
