We've never stayed in. Bed & Breakfast before and our first experience at the Blue Heron was absolutely fabulous! During my long summer of traveling, this was the first time I felt like I was home!! Incredible restaurants within walking distance: which Julie and David can recommend and reserve for you. We rode bikes to the beach, jogged around the... More

You could not beat the location. It's is in the historic district and within walking distance of all the good restaurants and just a short two mile drive to the beach. Julie and David were wonderful and made sure we had a great stay. The food was outstanding. We will be back.

Blue Heron Inn is the perfect place to escape and simply relax. The lovely pool and garden, the easy walking distance to the Fernandina Beach historic district and shopping/dining, the deliciously delectable breakfasts each morning, and the oh, so comfortable rooms make this the perfect place to get away. Julie is a wonderful host, and Blue Heron Inn is the... More

David and Julie have really set up a top notch place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and not the basics. Not just eggs and toast or oat meal. Mushroom quiche. Sausage casserole. Fresh fruit every morning. Many other good meals. The room was all that was expected. Thank you very much. We will be back.

My wife and I have just completed a 3 night stay at the Blue Heron. Where to start! The Inn is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Centre St with it's various restaurants and shops. David and Julie are wonderful hosts and should be very proud of the atmosphere they have created. Breakfast is beautifully prepared and served on the... More

We had our wedding here at the Blue Heron. Everything was perfect and it was a joy from start to finish. The home is very beautiful. Julie and David were very friendly and caring. We had the sandpiper room, and we didn't want to leave it. In the morning Julie prepared an amazing breakfast. We plan on coming back to... More

While we only had one night at the Blue Heron with David and Julie, it was an incredible B&B and we will be back. David and Julie are at the top of the list for most hospitable B&B hosts, and we have stayed at maybe 15-20 different B&B's over the past few years. Incredibly welcoming, incredibly generous -- this is... More
