This was our first trip to Amelia Island and unfortunately were only able to stay one night, since this was the last stop on our trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. The Blue Heron Inn is only steps away from the downtown historic area. We were greeted at the door by the owner who took us on a... More

Wonderful stay at a meticulously restored and tastefully furnished Victorian house in the center of the historic old town. The hosts had great advice on which local haunts to try and presided over wine and hors d'ouvers served to guests at their nightly happy hour. Breakfast exceeded expectations in creativity and presentation, as well as quality and quantity. We think... More

We only stayed here for 1 night. We will return. We arrived at the tail end of a wedding, so there were many people milling around, however the owners could not have been more welcoming. We were offered wine and nibbles with some other guests staying and had a lovely time. The inn is located just off the main road... More

This was our second visit to the Blue Heron Inn and it was just as wonderful as the first. Julie and David feel like old friends now. We stayed in the Sandpiper suite. The bed was comfortable and the suite was spotless. It has a nice sitting area and a jacuzzi tub. This was a huge benefit since I had... More

David and Julie are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed our room, the beautiful Inn and remarkable hospitality. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. Every detail was perfectly thought out and executed. The Inn is very conveniently located and walking In Fernandina was a treat. We will be back!

Quaint, comfortable & convenient. Located just a block away from the main restaurant area in a nice residential neighborhood, it's an easy stroll to the restaurants and shops. Take a short walk down to the marina and have a scenic drink overlooking the water. Hosts provide you with the best information on what to do, what to see and where... More

We booked a stay at my first B&B so we could relax, visit a nearby friend and see Cumberland Island. I had no idea how much I would LOVE it. We truly had little intention of spending much time in our room or the inn itself. But we were made to feel like family - from assistance in getting ferry... More

We only stayed one night but were very impressed. The welcome and chat over snacks and drinks with other guests was a great surprise and contrast to the normal functional process of checking in at a hotel. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and served. In every way the Blue Heron provided a special experience. We would strongly recommend it.

Without a doubt the BEST bed & breakfast we have stayed at. From the food, the inn, the amenities- cant compare to others. The "Inn Keepers" are so warm and friendly and genuine; recommended several restaurants and helped us get reservations. I truly cant imagine staying anywhere else. Just a fabulous experience. I hope they don't change a thing- Its... More

We recently stayed at the Blue Heron Inn and what a stay it was. We were going to Cumberland Island for the day and due to the ferry schedule we were not going to be able to make it for the 3-6p check in time. We called ahead and they said they would stay, we ended up getting lost on... More

Thank you so much for the kind words. We always want to provide each guest with comfort and elegance to enjoy their stay and if we need to be flexible with check-ins or check-outs that is no problem. See you soon. David and Julie More
