If you like to be close to the action (what action there is in this pleasant, picturesque historic town) and have a comfortable place to return to at night, the Florida House Inn is the place you want. This historic home has the charm you're looking for along with hearty breakfasts, an in-house bar, a good restaurant and small but... More

The good news is that it is right in the heart of all the activity in the historic district and you have complimentary parking so you can walk everywhere. Having said that, there is a bar right next to the Inn so you don't want to have a room on that side of the building. Considering it was built around... More

This is a long story I will make short: My wife and I were looking forward to go and stay in this historic "Inn" for quite some time. Upon arrival at 7:15pm we were lead on a goose chase to find our room (bartender didn't know where it was). Our room looked liked something from "The Shining" and there was... More

Simply cannot say enough about this wonderful establishment. Karen, the owner and ooerator, could not be more hospitable or accommodating....delicious full breakfast and wine on the porch in the evening made for a spectacular stay! Will visit again and again. :-)

We arrived earlier than check in time and asked if our room might possibly be ready (the previous night was a Thursday and the place looked empty). The person working there was less than helpful, seemed annoyed that we were even there and said "check in is at 3 and that we needed to come back then". We returned later... More

I recently got married at the Florida House Inn. The Inn is rustic and charming. The food and service was wonderful. We very much enjoyed the bridal suite. Everyone had an amazing time. When in town, I would highly recommend visiting the Inn. If at the Mermaid Bar, say hi to Sonia.

The Florida House is charming, BUT....the nightclub next door is noisy....even though the entertainment stops around 11, the noise from the patrons does not.....breakfast was average at best Have stayed there a few times, but no longer will

I just spent a couple days in Fernandina Beach at the Florida House. It is an old historic inn that has been lovingly restored to its original beauty. Each room has a different theme. The breakfast each morning is delicious and ample. We never got hungry again until late in the afternoon. The staff is all very friendly and helpful.... More

The Florida House Inn was totally charming and a wonderful place to stay. It is an older inn but the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding every morning and the staff was gracious and very accommodating. Needless to say, the location was perfect, within walking distance of downtown and restaurants. We have already made reservations for the same weekend... More

This was a great hotel . I came here for my niece's wedding and the manager did a great job! The hotel rooms weren't the most elegant - it's an old inn and although they try to provide amenities it is not like staying in a new, more modern hotel. That being said, the room came with breakfast which was... More
