As someone who travels professionally I never write a review unless it is truly unique and offers a incredible experience. This B@B is romantic glorious revival of a 1920 era of a South Florida retreat and playground of the super rich. Lovingly restored spotless and filled with period antiques relax a soak in a claw tub bath sip champange then... More

Busy holiday season! Traveled to experience the fast pace in the big city and needed to decompress where it's quiet and no hubbub or people pushing me to eat fast so they can turn over a table to another tourist. I love the bed and breakfast for that reason. It's close to our home and easy to get to. We... More

Why would someone go to the expense and trouble to restore this building and decorate the large, comfortable rooms tastefully with antiques and then fail to look after the guests? I could have left here happy, but instead left disappointed and frustrated. I don't even know if it is worth the effort I am about to make to write a... More

We stayed one night in this very different B&B place: the building is an old bank. It has been partly renovated but most interior is original from 1920. Some parts are yet to be renovated and are worn down. The rooms are however clean with modern beds, but it feels like sleeping in a museum... When we stayed here we... More

Lots of potential unrealized. Rooms dreary, " breakfast " is a carbon dated tiny bagel, bruised apple. One room never rented because caretaker's room below "backs up" with every flush. Whole place smells musty and damp. Gag...a shame because Everglades City is interesting, updated, and fun. Owner of this place needs to be fired!!!

Unbelievable Is this the way to manage a B&B? They are so polite and friendly that do not answer to emails. No more rooms available? You can tell me and that's all Never seen yokels like these people Very good, well done. Thank you very much

I loved the atmosphere. I felt like I was really sleeping in a different time period. I loved the antiques and the photos and my bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. It was delightful. The drawbacks are when the name says bed and breakfast, like every other bread and breakfast I have ever slept at, I expected... More

When my girlfriend and I arrived we were informed that breakfast would be extra and it would only consist of bagels and cereals. We had reserved the Mortgage room. It was very spacious and that's where the positive review ends. The bathroom was small and there was no hair dryer for use. The bed could use a can of WD40,... More

It was a wonderful surprise to find such a gem. We stayed in a very clean and beautifully decorated Victorian room: the Mortgage Department, with all the modern comfort of a king size bed, air conditioning, cable and Wi-Fi, all blending well with the Victorian décor. We were particularly pleased with the easiness and welcoming we received from the owner.... More

This is the most beautiful and romantic place we've ever stayed. And the restoration is perfect. Since the building is converted from the old bank, the rooms all have "Department" names: Finance, Mortgage, Savings, Loan, Security, etc. All are opulently appointed with beautiful Victorian furnishings. Everglades City is a lovely town and we'll be back soon.
