We traveled from from Fort Myers down to The Ivey House in Everglades City. Loved the quaint town and all of it's natural resources. Had one of the best trips out into the Everglades Swamp on kayaks. Our guide was most informative and ran a great trip. The staff was very helpful and quick to assist with everything. Facility was... more

Stayed at the Ivey House 13-15 May. The staff were very friendly and helpful telling us about the local places to visit. The room was surprisingly large and very clean with a plentiful supply of towels. The room was equipped with a fridge but Tea and Coffee making would have been welcome as apart from a 7/11 there wasn’t access... more

This is a good place to stay. We were there in low season so the rate was reasonable (about $95 I think….?). It’s easy to reach the centre of the town (village, really - population about 500) and the canoe beach; airboat rides run from 20 metres away. It’s not a top hotel (as other reviews have mentioned) but it... more

We stayed in the cottage, which was very clean, comfortable and cozy - with a laid-back, cheerful "Florida keys" decor. In spite of overnight thunderstorms, we slept soundly. The staff was absolutely perfect - friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The screened-in pool featured abundant, indirect sunshine, and freedom from mosquitos, and was bordered on one end by a beautiful... more

We stayed in Everglades for Memorial Day weekend, so it was probably way more quiet than usual. And also probably way cheaper than usual. The Everglades city is tiny and if you're determined to stay there Ivey House is a great choice - large comfortable rooms, mosquito proof pool with a cute waterfall, refrigerators to chill your wine and courtyard... more

Would highly recommend the Ivey House as a great base for exploring the Everglades. Three of us adults stayed in a cottage at the Ivey House for a couple of nights. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area, able to arrange bookings on swamp walks and other other trips in the area. The cottage was clean... more

we stayed at the Ivey House specifically to go paddling in the Everglades. But found it more than adequate and enjoyable. the hotel was clean throughout, and we liked that it has a green certification. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast ample. The staff was friendly and gave great advise as to where to eat. But the best was... more

Extemely clean, well kept and totally smoke free enviroment, ideal location for airboat rides in the Everglades and near to a flea market and the beaches of Naples. The Ivey House offered free continetal breakfast, but if you prefere to have a full breakfast the Backcountry Cafe (see photo) offers good food at reasonable prices and is only a few... more
