My grandsons and I stayed in the old lodge part of the Ivey House. The room was small but comfortable and the bathrooms were nearby. There was a nice lounge area for watching TV or reading. The included breakfasts were very good and coffee and tea were available all day. Staff was friendly and helpful in setting up tours. Restaurants were within... More

My wife and I took a last minute trip to the Everglades in late March, not thinking about it being Spring Break! We reserved the last room available in the lodge portion of the Ivey House, after seeing favorable reviews. We were not disappointed, and in fact were very happy with our experience there. The Lodge was as advertised. Very... More

My wife and I stayed here for the second time because we like the property, love the friendly staff, and we like Everglade City - still "old Florida". The Ivey House has two main sections; a new modern one with all the conveniences, and the much older "rustic lodge." Both times we stayed in the lodge. There is a large... More

Ivey House is on the edge of Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve in southwest Florida, Everglades City is a very small community and there are lots of activities for people that like the outdoors. We stayed in the Inn portion of property and were very happy with our room. This B&B is affiliated with Everglades Adventures but... More

Staff works hard to keep areas clean. Breakfast was included which was a nice touch since restaurants seem to be overpriced in Everglades City. Rooms have small refrigerator so bring drinks and snacks.

I was told the room available was "dorm style", which means no bathroom, tv, or phone. It was affordable, and had free breakfast and a/c so I took it. Unfortunately, the room walls are paper thing (I could hear neighbor breathing heavy) and one wall of my room was the men's bathroom. Overall, acceptable at the price and last minute,... More

We were on an annual fishing trip to Chokoloskee. The last time we went, we stayed at the campground in a tent. We were looking for something a little more comfortable, but affordable at the same time. The Ivey House was a good match. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was great...nice hot... More

A well/run sparkling clean inn with breakfast included. Green-ethic details. I booked the sunset kayak and v was transported into a magical land of mangroves edging on the East River, then through mangrove alleyways narrow enough to pull yourself along with overhead roots. As Venus heralded sunset, the stars pooled in the sky and water, erasing the horizon. Our headlamps... More

I was on an adventure and traveling the Tamiami Trail from Tampa to Miami and decided to stay a day in Evergladed City. The Ivey House was exactly what I needed...a nice, clean place to lay my head for one night. I booked one of the "dorm" rooms that has a shared bathroom and a great history from the building...
