Firstly, I have to agree with the other reviewers that have pointed out that the Ivey House is by no stretch of the imagination a Bed & Breakfast. Worse yet, it is not even on par with a Holiday Inn. Our room was not only outdated but it also had a broken window. And by broken I mean the glass... More

This is what you call value for money. Great location to explore the Everglades with friendly staff and nice and clean rooms. This is a hotel a would recommend everybody, do not expect luxury but expect an honest offering given the price. The pool is small but good enough for kids to have a bit of fun. Do not expect... We really enjoyed the Ivey House. It was extremely clean, our room had beautiful, high ceilings, and the breakfast was nice (no eggs and bacon, but there was very good fresh fruit, bagels, toast, coffee, juice, oatmeal, etc.). The staff was friendly and helpful. And the hotel is very eco-friendly! I definitely recommend Ivey House.

Stayed here for a night on a trip through the Everglades--decent room, clean, and very nicely situated. Continental breakfast in the morning is better than most, but don't expect an omelet bar (hey: it's free). Staff was friendly and helpful. Setbacks: I have nothing against old school TVs...but c'mon now. At least get something that doesn't look microscopic! OH! The... More

Everglades city is very small town with not too many places to stay. We chose the Ivey House and enjoyed it. The room was nice and clean. The entire premises were neat and clean. They take extra case not to let mosquitoes in - which is a major issue for that area - and it works. The pool is small... More

Helpful staff, welcoming. Lovely pool in the middle of the hotel with insect cover- essential for the Everglades! Hotel organised a Kayak tour of mangroves which was a fabulous thing to do- they sell the insect head nets that are advisable! Overall great place to stay and would return if go back to the Everglades

We drove straight from the Fort Lauderdale airport and made it just in time to check in and set out for dinner. The Ivey House is easy to find, exudes local charm, and is within walking distance of some of the best places to eat in Everglades City. Our room was clean and functional. It wasn't the most modern hotel,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with our teenager boys. We booked the cottage for the extra space. Cottage was very dated, wifi didn't really work unless you were by the window in one of the bedrooms. Hotel and grounds were impeccably maintained!! Nothing to do at night in this sleepy town. We ended up going to Marco Island on day... More

Some rooms border the small but well landscaped pool. Normally this can be a problem with the noise, but the walls and door are thick enough to give soundproofing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We were delighted with the swan shaped towels on the bed. There is a fridge but no coffee maker, however you can help yourself to... More
