I would rate it 5 star but it is very misleading to call it a BnB. The breakfast reminded me of a typical free breakfast you get at a chain off the interstate otherwise the place was nice. Very nice room/

Our three day stay the first week of April, 2014 at the Ivey House was pleasant, but it wasn't quite what we expected. The beds were clean for the most part, excluding the stained mattress pad on one of them. The double bed room was smaller than we expected, as well as the bathroom, especially for a family of (3)... Nothing fancy, but comfortable and friendly with everything we needed during a five night stay. Our room was large and clean with good lights and generous storage. Rooms in main lodge are located around a courtyard with a screened pool. Everglades City is a small town with several interesting restaurants--no chain hotels, no chain restaurants. Large laundry room with coin-op... More

We had a great 2 day stay at the quaint old style Ivey House. The room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. All the staff were very helpful suggesting activities in Everglades City. We would stay there again.

We spent three days in Everglades City at the Ivey house mid March. We had come from 16 degrees and snow to 80 degrees and sun. What a pleasant experience. We signed up for a kayak excursion and our guide Tom was excellent. This is such a beautiful area. The accommodations were excellent. The room was quiet and clean. The... More

Wife and I first time travelers to South Florida. Needed to see Florida as it was before it became the retiree mecca that it is now. Here it is! The city is for locals and not much to see. Do air-boat yes but the reason to be here is the everglades kayak tours. You will get wet and muddy but... More

This was my second time staying at the Ivey House. It is an excellent place to stay for anyone wanting to explore the everglades. Its location between Naples and Miami make it a perfect base to go to the various parks, adventures and attractions. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They can direct you to what ever... More

We spent one night here as a base for an everglades tour. Our room was in the lodge ( hostel style with shared bathroom) which was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were also clean with good showers. Breakfast was included which was good quality. The staff are helpful and friendly. We also did the morning kayak tour with... More

We stayed in a two queen bed room for two nights. The room was spacious and plenty of places to put away and hang clothes. Bedding was fine. Beds firm but comfortable. Bathroom quite small and towels were not the best quality. Sitting poolside in the afternoon was very relaxing. Breakfast was self serve buffet style. Eggs and meat....pretty typical... More
