The Ivey House was very nice and staff friendly and helpful. Best are the kayaking tours led by John and Dillon who are both knowledgeable, patient, and helpful in their guiding. I was part of a group tour at the end of January, and due to some rain, we had to switch schedules around. They accommodated us very well. It... More

Because we booked late there were no rooms to be had in their inn or cottages, but our room in the lodge was nice, though predictably Spartan for the price. At one end of the hall there was a comfortable lounge, and at the other end there were the shared bathrooms-- four of everything for the guys; no waiting. Most... More

John and Dillon led us on 4 different kayak paddles. Each were in a different ecosystem of the everglades. I had a wonderful adventure during each of these kayaking paddle. We paddled out to one of the 1000 islands. We paddled down a couple different rivers. Then we went on a night paddle through mangrove tunnels.

We stayed here several nights around our Everglades Nat'l Park kayaking trip. We are repeat customers after a similar trip several years ago. As budget minded travelers, we stay in the Lodge which has shared bathrooms. The rooms & bathrooms are clean. All staff are very nice & helpful. The included breakfast is very good. We will always stay here... More

A little bit of civilisation in the midst of the vast Everglades. Great room and breakfasts...they even use real plates! Good wifi. Acessible to different types of Everglades experiences...other guests could be a bit loud at times, but that is a risk anywhere..

We enjoyed our stay at the Ivey House. We booked the kayak tours through them and those were fantastic. We have never kayaked before and were able to do well with instruction from their knowledgable guides. We did the early morning and twilight trips, both were great. We stayed in the cabin. That was good for privacy. Breakfast was fine.... More

We had booked a queen bed lodge room - i.e. with a shared bathroom and no heaters in the room (which did have AC though) - and were really happy with it. While there was no heat in the room, the heaters in the hallway provided sufficient heat for us not to get cold. The location was great and the... More

We stayed here as part of a five night Road Scholar kayaking program. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All staff were courteous and helpful. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and more than adequate. Although we were part of an organized program, there is plenty to see and do. A kayak touring company is associated with the hotel if you are... More

Aunty T Pot B- Thank you so much for reviewing your recent experience at the Ivey House. We are so sorry to hear the the mosquitoes were such an annoyance, but are glad that our mosquito nets were able to keep them at bay. We hope you have another chance to visit to see more of the beautiful Everglades. More

We've stayed in Everglades City twice, once at the Captain's Table and Once at the Ivey House. Of the two I preferred the Ivey House hands down. There are slim pickings when it comes to accommodation in this little town. We use it as a base for multi-day kayaking trips. We actually rented our kayaks from Ivey House as well,... More
