In Everglades City, we stayed at the Captain’s Table Lodge. We were lucky In some respects, because we arrived after dark and the other motels in town claimed to be full. Curiously, most of the “full” places had very few or no cars parked in front. Although at Captain’s Table Lodge we had a large double room, the price seemed... More

I've come to expect a small shampoo, a hair dryer, coffee, and extra towels in the room. None were present. We got 2 small bath towels, 1 hand towel, and only one wash cloth in our room. It reminded me of a motel room out of the 50's, (and that's the last time the room was refurbished!)

We stayed here during the seafood festival as it was close and not many other choices. The check-in process went smooth and the clerk was polite and helpful. Our villa was rustic with a few basics so bring everything you think you'll need. The TV and WiFi only worked some times. As I found out later all the rooms and... More

On the doorstep to Chokoloskee with ample parking for our boat, this hotel is everything you need for a night or two. The paint and carpets are recently updated and rooms are comfortable. Staff is friendly and rates are reasonable. Will definitely return.

The only reason this place gets any business is because after you pass the first place you think it's the only thing left in town. Go on by it to the next one. The first "suite" was so moldy that the girls couldn't stay in it for more than a few minutes. The second was tolerable but only had one... More

A throw back to the 60's. Clean but only the bare necessities, with the exception that there was a frig. No coffee maker, no micro wave, no cups for drinking, certainly no hair drier, no shampoo, etc. and only one hand towel in the bathroom even though we had 2 beds - so tobviously the possibility of 2 people. This was... More

We were in Everglades City for a few nights on either end of our multi-day kayak trip. The city itself is extremely small and has few amenities, though given how overbuilt Florida is, the atmosphere around the park is a welcome change. Still, the choice of accommodation is limited. The Captain's Table was well-located. The staff were friendly and they... More

What a crappy room. the furniture was mismatched, old and worn. The walls were sparse with few, but tacky, art (if you can use the term). I made the mistake of opening the dresser drawer and we had to open the door to clear out the smell. I thought something had died in the dresser. No channel guide for the... More

First impression not so good. Wall-to-wall carpet, not so fresh. The air condition made a lot of noise. Required earplugs really. The room had a refrigerator and a small flatscreen TV. No wifi in the rooms, it was available in the lobby. Breakfast not included. We stayed only one night and the location in Everglades was fine. Close to air... More

We wanted to stay in Everglades for a night so I didn't have so high hope for this Place. It was better than I expected. The aircondition make a lot of noise. The bed was ok, the room had a little strange smell. The staff where really nice and serviceminded. The wifi did not work up to the room, but... More
