We have been here several times and you can't beat the location! Right in the heart of the city- gas station right across the street with bait, boat slip next door and plenty of boat parking. Hotel is a little older but I think that gives this place part of it's charm. The pool is over looking the bay where... More

Keep! Driving! Don't stop here, unless you like to lay in filth, inhale mold saturated air, and let the lady working there treat you like your a thief when you ask for another pillow. I've traveled a lot and don't mind staying somewhere thrifty when necessary but this?! Appalling. I actually called the health board rather than stay one night... More

We arrived in Everglades City with no booking and had not checked hotel reviews, which was a mistake. Three other places we tried had no vacancies but the Captains Table Hotel had rooms available. The wifi in the Lobby didn't work at all, there was no restaurant and the one next door was closed, there was no lift to the... More

Sleazy business practices. Gross, filthy, cinder block walls was like spending the night in county jail don't get caught with your pants down. Everglade city is amazing. just don't get robbed paying for a room we escaped from.

Arrived late at night and found the room to smell and the bathroom to be extremely filthy. front desk/office was closed. Beware of hidden policy to call a number outside the Front desk for help after hours. Cable was out at times. Called our booking agent that evening but she could not find us another room in the vicinity. Next... More

I had stayed here on a previous trip and wanted to come thru this town again- wish I had stayed at the other property- first off- they wanted an extra $200 because I was going to pay cash, then would have to wait til 12 the next day to get it back after they inspect the room- My better half... Their location close to the Everglades is the only plus to this hotel. For the most part as a guest you are just an inconvenience to the hotel staff. During the winter months expect to pay $175+/night for a very basic room that hasn't been updated in 10 years. Just be aware that it is a two floor hotel and... More

The simple accomodations at The Captain's Table will meet your basic needs for a reasonable price. This dated property is nothing to write home about - but the room was clean and comfortable for our one-night stay. BYO beverages, snacks, and blow dryer.

Ample rooms with plenty of light in a magical environment for those who love observing nature. You can eat lovely lobster ,stone crab and lime pie at nearby Rock crab restaurantwhile you observe the pelicans, alligators, dolphins, etc. It is only 50 minutes away from magnificent beaches in Marco island or Naples.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Everglades, and we felt this hotel made us feel as though we were back in the 1960's visiting old Florida. The rooms are very basic. The good: clean, two comfortable double beds, fine water pressure, a/c worked., mini refrigerator. Plenty of parking and boat launch. We did not use the pool,... More
