The hotel has recently been updated and the room we had was really spacious. It has a great location for the western Everglades and Big Cypress National Preserve. The front desk staff was very friendly and made some great recommendations for where to go for dinner.

This motel is exactly like those I had always seen in the movies!! The room was very large, with two comfortable queen size bed. The room was clean, the owner (i suppose) at the reception was very kind.. Maybe the price is a little bit high, but after investigation upon other local hotels in the area, maybe.. It's on average..... More

Excellent motel, central in Everglades city. Easy walk to anywhere in town, except Chokoloskee Island where some boats depart. Friendly checkin staff, big rooms with fridge and microwave, large renovated bathroom. No breakfast available but the service station 2 blocks North has a supermarket, and there are other places if you don't bring your own. Not much hanging space and... More

The hotel rooms were clean spacious and modern. The bathrooms were also clean spacious and modern. Front desk people were very courteous, attentive, and informative. You can walk or bike to every restaurant in town and Everglades national park is just a short drive. Would stay here every time!

We stayed for three nights in the middle of December. It was just beginning high season for the Everglades National Park. It is a great location if you would like to investigate the park by boat. The city itself is located at the western edge of the National park with no access to the majority of it without a boat.... More

Four of us stayed the night in between adventures from Okeechobee to the Everglades. There isn't much in this little city but it is worth the experience. The Motel was well kept, the receptionist friendly and helpful, beds comfortable, rooms clean and we could walk to breakfast. The Island Cafe was next door and the breakfast was great. My boyfriend... More

Very nice place. Very comfortable and clean. Front desk was more than helpful with pointing out the best restaurants and local attractions. Rooms were newly renovated with nice beds and updated bathrooms. Only downfall was the kitchenette left something to be desired with only a microwave and coffee pot. Perfect for what we needed, but might be challenging for others.... More

We loved our New Year's Eve stay! You get the motel feel but with rooms that are renovated, spacious, and updated with cool vessel sinks, black marble showers, flat screen TVs, refrigerators and microwaves, and nice comfy beds. They have complimentary bikes for exploring the town and a nice Tiki pavilion with picnic tables and a grill. At check in... More

Stayed at the motel when we visited the Everglades. Extremely large rooms with cooker, fridge etc. air conditioning was rather noisy . There was a restaurant next door but we chose to eat at one recommended by the motel. Beds were good , shower adequate. Clean . Didn't see staff other than at checkin . Parking right outside door .... More

We spent three nights at the motel. It has been nicely renovated and we loved the large room with the efficiency kitchen. This is a wonderful location to visit the Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp. The staff was very helpful in recommending great places to eat. I look forward to making another trip to the area and staying there.
