Much nicer than other hotels of Venice. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room clean and very nice. I loved the porch area in front of the room with a barbacue special for us. The beach is perfect. I just miss the daily cleaning of a hotel.

I always enjoy my stays at Gem Coast Inn. The staff is always accommodating to the guest needs. The improvements to the Inn are wonderful. I feel right at home when visiting friends in Englewood. Awesome Place.

We travelled across from Miami through Alligator Alley armed with our trusty Samsung Notepad looking for places to stay based on Trip Advisor ratings and affordability. Whilst working our way up the coast to St Petersburg we found this place which has stayed with us ever since and is definitely on the list of places we'd like to go back... More

This is the second time we have been to the Seafarer. We just happened to find it when we went to Manasota Key to find some sharks teeth. What a find! It's practically on top of the beach! We stayed in Unit #1 the first time and it is the closest to the beach with amazing sunset views. This time,... More

Well, the Seafarer is not the newest, or most luxurious place we've ever stayed. But you know what? It didn't matter. It is relaxing and beautiful and quirky. We love it there, and if someone told me I could live there for ever, I would. It's right NEXT to the beach! I mean, you come out of your door and... More

If you want a commercial feel where you are catered to constantly and can get room service, this is not the place for you. If you want a retreat for a weekend (or week) and want to lose yourself in the wonder that is Englewood Beach for a time, this is it. I've stayed at an Inn up the road... More

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights, and it went by too fast! The location is awesome, with beautiful sunsets & lots of shark's teeth! Very quiet. If you are looking for night life, this is not the place for you. The peacefulness is what we were looking for! Will be back. Make sure you bring beach towels... More

This is an out of the way tiny resort that is so awesome. Don't come here expecting the normal amenity filled hotel chain kind of experience. This is simplicity done right. Clean well maintained rooms, comfortable furniture, patios overlooking the water, a heated pool and steps to the gulf. Fantastic!! Bring a few things for breakfast &/or lunch, stock the... More

a bit run down, needs some handyman love, and a good cleaning- AC definitely was not cleaned in the last year. windows had dirt and grim as well as some mildew. rooms do not breath, condensation on windows. Good luck getting fresh and dry towels daily- hit or miss with the office staff. you do self cleaning daily and as... More

The location is great, but price is a bit high for squeaky twin beds and lumpy pull out sofa! The weekend staff was a bit hovering...not the way it use to be a few years ago ...but it was clean and right on the beach.
