We stayed at Mccarthy's last summer and will return this summer. The beach is beautiful. The inn is low key and very private. The grounds are quiet and well maintained. The owner and his family are excellent folks, so down to earth. They will acoomodate you with anything you need. They were very hospitable to us and made are vacation perfect.I highly reccomend this motel.

We were happy to find a great price for a vacation cottage right on the beach. The location was perfect with the beach just steps away in the quiet area of Manasota Key. We went for two weeks of baseball during Spring Training and wanted to be near the Rays ballpark in Port Charlotte and the beach. Planning to spend... More

The unit was in a state of ill-repair - broken drawers and cabinet doors, old furniture, outdated and beat-up appliances. The beds and linens were gross. We stayed that night and moved out early the next morning. We ended up... More

We just returned from our trip to Englewood and stayed at McCarthy's Inns. Although I wouldn't call it a 5 star establishment we would stay there again. The price was right, accommodations adequate, and proximity to the beach can't be beat. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, the proprietor (Jim) was really nice and very helpful although... More
