This motel is great place to stay. The rooms are clean and there is a lot of fun things to do in the area. The beach is right up the road and there are numerous restaurants with great food and seafood. The management are really friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay in edgewater!

We had the pleasure of our car breaking down close to Cater's. WE were welcomed and treated with old school charm and customer service. The room was clean and even though they knew we were there a few days we were always asked if needed anything. Family owned and managed after an hour we felt like part of that family. If... More

Rm 8 attached to office structure. Like a step back in time. Had almost everything we needed, just real real basic, dated and worn. Should have only paid $40 for the room though. No hair dryer, but did have clock, fridge, table, internet, soap, but no shampoo. We did not see inside the little cottages, and perhaps should have as they... More

Can't say enough good things with regard to the folks at Carter's Motel. A friend and I used the spot as a jumping off point for a long kayak trip. Not only did they accommodate our extra vehicle in their extra parking while we were traveling, they also gave me a ride at 6:00 am to the launch point three... More

I thought this was very cute. We stayed in the little cottage. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The staff was very friendly and eager to help.. Nice pool. I would recommend trying this place.

I arrived at this motel around 5 AM in the morning after multiple flight delays and drive from Orlando. The owner (elderly gentleman) was really nice and gave me a key to the unit 1C for $60. I was expecting it to be more like a "interstate mom & pop's motel", but I was surprised by the cleanliness and room... More

This motel is like something from the 1950's. It's amazing! It was very clean & neat with comfy beds. The only drawback that I saw was the bathroom was small with no countertop but that's the way it was in the old days. There was no dresser in the room we stayed in but we didn't need dresser drawers as... More

This place was bit off the beaten path but so worth the stay. Carter's reminded me of traveling when I was younger with my parents. The cottage we stayed in was very nice, super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The couple that runs this place are very sweet and will do anything for you. The only draw back... More
