We drove into the driveway passing the above ground pool. The pool was dirty and old looking but we were not going to swim so this really wasnt an issue. We could tell that the "cabins" were old but it was a one night stay, again not that worried. He had us look in a room for approval. It seemed... More

We stayed there April 11-13 with another couple. We had room 8 and they had room 6. Our room was newly renovated. It appeared clean but after seeing our friends room...we were leery of the whole place. (And because our room was fairly usable--I think that is why you see such a difference in ratings for the place...depends on the... More

Not to be confused with a similarly named place up the road, Bonefish Bay Motel & RV is a nice place to stay in the Keys. Read the other reviews carefully to make sure they are not talking about the other place. We were looking for a place in the middle keys to kayak, dive and ride the motorcyle and... More

Disgusting, dirty, and unsanitary. No excuse for the lack of cleanliness I can take old simple accommodations but not this! I would pay not to stay at this place ever again, it's $99 value price for accommodations in the Keys is not worth it! Your first impression when driving in is 1/3 of whats left of a tiki hut old rusted broken... More

We have stayed there for the last 12 years and it changed hands a few years ago and has went downhill ever since. Mark the owner is more interested in adding RV sites than keeping up the rooms he has. We had a verbal agreement on the 2 rooms we rented, for a week, but when we got there he... More

My fiancé and I had booked a weekend at another motel in the Upper Keys and were horrified with what we found when we arrived. It was Easter weekend and everything else was booked. We found the Bonefish Bay Motel (not to be confused with the Bonefish Resort, also in Marathon) on the internet, and called and spoke with the... More

We drove down in March and met two other couples there. We were looking for a reasonable place to meet our friends and decided we would rather that most of our budget and time would be spent on snokeling, fishing, eating out and at the Beaches then on high priced accomadations. The Bonefish Bay Motel gave us a great price... More

My boyfriend and I went to the Keys for a business trip and were trying to find an affordable place to stay. After calling many places that were booked due to spring break I called Mark the owner of the motel and he pressured me into giving him my VISA info to book a room because it was "going fast".... There are two Bonefish places near one another: Bonefish Bay Motel and Bonefish Resort. We stayed in Bonefish Bay Motel and it was the worse place I've stayed in decades! It was FILTHY (hair and dirt accumulation along the baseboard in the bathroom, for instance), both windows' hardware was broken and couldn't be closed, the sheets and carpet were stained... More

The bonefish in Duck KEY is simply put... GROSS and NASTY! The one in Marathon which Mark owns is nice. It has a boat dock the one in Duck Key does not. I am seeing that some are getting the 2 confused. Stay away from DUCK Key Bonefish. Not sure why the health dept has not shut it DOWN. Funny... More
