Had a great stay in Destin at Camp Gulf. Our kids had a cabin (some issues with not enough hot water but otherwise good). We stayed on the beach front site where there was no sewer. As expensive as it was (off season) they charged for the honey wagon, but it was necessary in our small RV. This during the... More

Love to hear about a great stay! Cabins are 'on-demand' hot water so it can take a minute to get to you in the shower, but it's endless. Yes, we charge for the 'honey-wagon' removing the sewer thru gravity flow is expensive because it also take so much sand with it. In fact we are doing the pipe cleaning maintenance... More

Love Camp Gulf. Have been camping there since early 90s when it was The Holiday. One of a few places where you can still camp gulf beach front ( not bay). No sewer hooks on beach, which is understandable. You pay $10 per pump out. Two pools; one is shallow with an inflatable jungle gym in the center and the... More

Always a pleasure to hear how much you love CAMP GULF! Thanks for the informative comment. Sorry we could not get your 'five'. It is for the safety of families (esp kids) that we do not do night cruising after it gets dark. It is dark here and we are adding many colorful accent lights all over the park without... More

We have stayed at Camp Gulf before, so we knew which camp site we wanted. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice man on golf cart and we followed him to the office. Once we had our toad unhooked he guided us into our spot. Hooking up at Camp Gulf is so easy. the sites are level... More

So great to have you back again and see that we are meeting your expectations! Call or stop any staff at anytime to have sand spurs removed immediately. Yes, Jordano's Pizza is amazing. We look forward to seeing you again! Happy Camping! More

Everything was exactly as described but this is really weird. No dogs on the beach but over the year, thousands and thousands of vehicles dripping oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid, differential fluid as well as throwing asbestos from the brake pads. Kind of an upper middle class hillbilly heaven.

I am not sure this is a valid remark. Dog waste transmits disease and vehicles do not drive on the beach. We are concerned about the environment as a stewardship. your remarks about guests being poor and stupid are very offensive. Maybe it is OK in Switzerland but it is rude here. We hope you had a safe trip home... More

I would give this place excellent but the spots are so tight I could almost touch my neighbor. With that said the view makes up for it and the staff was very helpful. We will stay here again for sure. We traveled in a 42 class a motor home. Take a broom to get the sand out

We say, "You can't get any closer than this". Yes, the view is unmatched. the front row does have narrower sites (we did remove several when slidesouts came along). We recommend a small shallow pale big enough for your feet with some water in it to minimize the sand coming in your door. Glad you found us and we look... More

We stayed here for the 1st time the week of Sept 15 2014 and this was a very pleasant experience. The biggest draw is the proximity of the beach. We stayed in the upper park sites and the walk to the beach is about 5 min. The park is narrow and very long, we were only 12 sites from the... More

So great to have a new loyal customer! Grass was a little tall, we plant winter rye then wait until it comes up to mow so it does not blow seed around. It is an overlap with summer grass still growing fast and rye not up yet. (wish the rye would germinate faster!) The wifi is a challenge in peak... More

This place met all of our needs and we loved the fact that the campground is on the beach. We stayed in a non beach site but it was only a short walk until our feet hit the sand. People were friendly, especially the ladies at the check in place at the store in the middle of the campground. Pool... More

Difficult to review because of the variety of types, sizes, convenience to park amenities, and price of sites and cabins. But here goes. Had 1 cabin and RV site 701 (2nd row from beach). Family of 9 with ages 2-67. Mix up on reservations (their fault, but Courtyard by Marriott came through). Beach RV site was on the sand. Get... More

Well, maybe it would be perfect if there was not any confusion about how the reservation was made. We do not use 'Courtyard by Marriott'. Perhaps that is the confusion. We have our own system and are not affiliated with CYMarriott in any way. Glad our staff was able to get you exactly what you were looking for! BTW, the... More

My family of 5 stayed at this RV park for 1 week. We loved everything about it! The sites are really nice. We had a beach front site and it was AMAZING! We definitely recommend this place, it's very expensive, we paid $800.00 more or less for a week by the end of August. We had an excellent spot, shady, right next to the laundry/bath facility, all employees are very helpful, everything was decent and well kept. Spot 316!
