Pelican beach has a great location. I like the 1 bedroom/2 bath condos and their location, you cant beach it; however, there are way too many people here. You always are waiting in line at the elevator to go up and come down. The pool is so packed and the beach....well forget it! You have to be up by 6... more

Beautiful water and sand, nice condo, but.... if you don't like crowds stay away. This is easily the least satisfying beach experience we have had. Although the properties on either side have plenty of beach front, you will be packed in like sardines surrounded by smokers, boom-boxes, beer sodden rednecks, and generally noisy and inconsiderate people. This is NOT the... more

I have been going to Destin since 1976. My family has stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort 4 times, but haven't stayed here since 2006. The beach is now roped off from next door at Holiday Destin Beach Resort and if you rent chairs you are pushed to the back away from the ocean. People buy or bring their own... more

Here now on third day. Room 1104. It's ok, but overpriced. Kitchen sink leaks all over the counter. No bathroom counter space to put anything. Beach IS overcrowded. No way to walk through to the water. You have to duck under umbrellas all the way. Not staying here again, for sure. more

We just got back from a 3 night stay in the Terrace. My cousins stayed in the Pelican and their room looked like a dorm room compared to ours. Be aware that all rooms are furnished different, including the balcony furniture (ours was nice.) Looking up fromt he pool, it looked like most patios had Walmart furniture on them. Ours... more

We just returned from our stay the Pelican. The view from our 19th floor condo was breathtaking and the location was great. The walls are very thin. We could hear our male neighbor use the bathroom. We have stayed at a lot of hotels & condos during the course of our travels but never have we been able to hear... more

We were "Cancun Refugees" & got a great deal on unit 2005, top floor. The condo was acceptable, especially for the price we paid. My biggest negative observation is that the beach is way too small for the amount of people this building holds. I cannot image how crowded it is during the summer, you won't find me there. But,... more

We stayed the month of January. It was the first time in the area and we loved it. Stayed at the Terrace in a 3 bedroom 2 bath with another couple. Liked our condo. Everything was furnished. It had a beautiful view of the gulf and the surrounding area. Being low season, it wasn't crowded. Most of the time we... more

We have just returned from a five night stay at The Resorts of Pelican Beach. Let me preface my revue with telling you I have stayed at this same resort 3 times previously and enjoyed every minute of it. Same place and same time of year so I knew what to expect. Never had a problem before. When I checked... more

The beach is CROWDED! They have it flagged off with signs and yellow tape which say to stay in this area, its so crowded and we went in the fall (off-season). The beach service guy is not friendly and did not come move the umbrella when the sun shifted. We have stayed at other condos and the beach service is... more
