I have been going to Destin since 1976. My family has stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort 4 times, but haven't stayed here since 2006. Here now on third day. Room 1104. It's ok, but overpriced. Kitchen sink leaks all over the counter. No bathroom counter space to put anything. Beach IS overcrowded. No way to walk through to the water. You have to duck under umbrellas all the way. Not staying here again, for sure. more

We just got back from a 3 night stay in the Terrace. My cousins stayed in the Pelican and their room looked like a dorm room compared to ours.
