Unit 308 We have stayed at these properties several times over the years, at Sea Oats as well as Cabana Club. We were very disappointed in the condition of unit 308. Positives: The location is great and it is right on the beach. There is plenty of parking. The unit was clean. The bedroom furnishings are newer. The bathroom is large. It is a spacious corner unit. Negatives: The living room furniture is in terrible shape. The sofa cushions sink down below the frame when sat on. It is unusable. The rug is extremely stained and unattractive. The curtains at the sliding glass door are ripped and very shabby. There are 2 sink/toilet areas, then a separate area with a very small, outdated, dingy shower. There is a jacuzzi tub that is also very dingy. This is disappointing as other units have updated bathrooms. Also there are only 5 towels for the whole week and no daily service. The kitchen has all major appliances but otherwise is very minimally stocked. Only very basic items. The coffee pot and blender (the only 2 small appliances) are old and dingy. This could be a nice unit with a little effort. Given the price we paid, and fees on top of fees, we expected more.

We booked this because it was 3 bedrooms and we’d all prefer to have our own room for sleeping. To find a beachfront condo this large at this price was great. The master bedroom is gigantic, has a bathroom with a large shower and a separate room with a sink and large garden tub. The second bedroom is a good size with its own bathroom which links to the hallway. The third bedroom is a loft room with half walls, which is fine for us but be aware that it isn’t fully enclosed. The loft also has a daybed outside of that bedroom and a bathroom. There’s a pull out sofa in the living room, plenty of seating by the windows to enjoy the view and breeze, plenty of dining seating with the table and the counter for larger groups. Beds are okay, I didn’t expect amazingly comfortable beds. Water pressure is good, hot water may be limited in terms of filling the big garden tub in the morning but no issues in the evening. The view from the balcony was lovely, especially for sunrise views-although there was a lot of fog most mornings we did still get a good sunrise. The balcony is a good size with 2 loungers, a 4 seat dining set, and 6 additional chairs. We couldn’t get all the windows open but the ones that we could and the two doors to the balcony definitely let in a lot of wind. Decor wise it’s pretty dated, but personally that’s of least concern. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. There is an elevator and carts to bring all your stuff up. Bring your own toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. They provided 2 packs of dishwasher detergent and a small bottle of dish soap but if you’re going to be doing a lot of cooking you should bring more. No laundry detergent was provided, should you need to do laundry. As far as the beach, it’s February so it wasn’t crowded, temps in the high 60’s low 70’s and breezy. It’s been sunny and warm, the water is cold but not intolerable for us, I definitely wouldn’t be SWIMMING in it but walking out to hip deep water was okay on the warmer days, but we’re used to cold creeks and just escaped the snow and ice back home. We usually do beach vacations on the outer banks, so it was really nice to have nice, gentle waves and a long stretch of clear, shallow water for a change. The air force base is very close, and I enjoyed watching the planes and helicopters. We’ve seen dolphins 1-2x every day. We got our (surprisingly) first jellyfish stings. It’s been fun. Don’t forget your sunscreen.

We have visited Destin many times over the years, but we've never enjoyed our accommodations more than we did during a recent 4-night stay at the Cabana Club #202. It was perfect getaway spot for our family of five, with a very comfortable king bed, twin bunks in the living room, and a pullout couch in the living room. But the best part about the Cabana Club is the location. It's right in the heart of Destin, which means it's close to plenty of restaurants (we got takeout from The Crab Trab and Pompano Joes and enjoyed an oceanfront table on the balcony of our condo), a short drive to the harbor for renting a pontoon boat, fishing, etc., but because the beach access is gated (acessed with a code), the beach is pristine and uncrowded, even in early June. There's a small pool next door at the Sea Oats motel, but our boys (ages 6, 9, and 9) never even went, because the beach is so spectacular just steps away, with none of the crowds that pack the beaches in front of the high rises. Every evening, my wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying a cocktail, listening to the sounds of the waves and watching the moonlight reflect on Gulf waters. We hope to come back again and again. Book the Cabana Club, and let the massses have the high rises. You'll be glad you did!

Find a gulf-front condo that is as nice as most of the units in Cabana Club for the price that you pay here. You can't! My teenage daughter thinks 30A is the cool place because that's where all her friends go, but I did the research, and I'm sorry - - I can't justify the extra money. I get the same sand and the same water for about half the price here at Cabana Club. I get chairs (extra $$, but worth it!) and a full kitchen. I get an awsome grill station to cook up whatever we bring home from the fish market. I get a private beach that's not overloaded with partying. I get a balcony that is smack dab ON the beach where I can hear the waves at night. I get several great restaurants within walking distance (790, Crab Trap, and Camille's). There's even a pool for use next door at Sea Oats, though I've never used it. I have everything I want here!!!

We just spent another wonderful week in Destin enjoying our stay at Cabana Club. We have been here three years in a row now. We love this out of the way place, right on the beach. You are literally steps from the ocean. We have stayed in 3 different condos here and enjoyed all three. Management is awesome! Within walking distance to the Crab Trap Restaurant on the beach. Perfect place for couples! We will be back.

Stayed in room 203; previously stayed in 201. The bed was comfortable, more on the firm side. The place was clean and the furniture was fine. The freezer had an ice maker which we used. The shower is on the small side. Both bathrooms have separate doors that open into a shower and tub area. A blow dryer was furnished. (I say this because I found no place that mentioned it.) I liked the decor and separate bathrooms in unit 201 better, but I would stay in both units again. You can't beat the access to the beach and the view from the balcony. Rental for two chairs and an umbrella was $40 per day but they charged us $35. Unfortunately, there was alot of seaweed in the water when we went. One day full of seaweed, next day clear as can be but then it came back around two p.m. Great place to stay at and visit.

I’m soooo happy I found this place! We stayed in Cabana Club 307 and it was awesome!! 1 bedroom 1.5 bathroom unit (space a plenty for 1-4 people). Washer/Dryer. Stainless steel Samsung appliances. Granite countertops in full kitchen. Flat screen TV’s w/cable in living and bedrooms. Jacuzzi tub. Private Balcony AND THE VIEW!!! This unit was comfortable, spacious and squeaky clean. RIGHT ON THE PRIVATE BEACH FRONT!! There was a little wooden walkway/bridge shower thing over the runes but nothing stands between you and the beach here. The ONLY downside is the impossibly small shower in the dated bathroom. These pictures were taken at checkout so forgive the mess ;)

204 is a good condo. It just needs a little love. A little paint goes a long way. Carpet was spotty. Furniture is comfy and t.v. large. Kitchen stocked well. Never figured out how to make ice in the fridge. But, that could be my issue. There is a hole in the bathroom which needs repairing. Bed was comfy. Washer and dryer worked well. 204 is right next to the elevator, but not to worry I never once heard it - even though I thought I would. Only really negative thing is a/c was on lock down. Could not go below 70. I'm in hot flash mode and that did not make me happy. Beach was beautiful the whole week. FYI beach set up is $150 for the week.

We stayed in 305 in mid-September 2016. There were several pros to the unit: beautiful beach view from the unit balcony--one evening we watched a wedding take place on the beach, owner communicated before, during and after our stay, nice decor, comfortable bed, kitchen well stocked, Jack and Jill bathroom is very convenient, closet in the entryway was full of beach stuff for our use. Unit was clean, and the washer/dryer was convenient. The private beach is wonderful, and we appreciated no crowds in the fall. Lots of our 'peeps' on vacation at the same time. Several people said they come back at this time every year. Cons: AC makes a lot of noise, but at least it worked well, kitchen is in serious need of updating--everything is original to the unit, shower was terrible--the original liner makes the shower tight and uncomfortable. Don't drop the soap! You'll be hanging out of the shower if you bend over to pick it up!
