Got the rooms for $72 a night which made me wonder what we were going to get. The hotel is an older motel but is in surprisingly good shape. Although our reservation was made several weeks in advance, motel booked dates incorrectly. As a result all of our possessions were unceremoniously deposited in a public space in motel restaurant while we were attending a university function (without regard to wrinkling of clothing, etc., etc). Stay here frequently as our son is a student at Stetson University. Hotel is maintained immaculately, and the staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers are most friendly and just can not do enough for you. Is walking distance to Stetson University and historic downtown DeLand, and only minutes for us to drive to Orlando and/or Daytona for dinner... more
