Hontoon Landing has everything you would wish for to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We brought the family for a weekend getaway and then my husband and I took advantage of the extra night special and stayed in the Captain's suite. It was better than a 5 star hotel. The room was imaculate and the staff... More

Laid back comfort. Natural beauty. Hontoon Landing grabbed us at first sight. Lovingly maintained property has Old Florida ambiance right on the St John's River. Birds, gators, manatee viewing from one of the many decks and tables around the property. Nice pool. Steps to the Hontoon Island State Park ferry, where we rented kayaks and walked the trails. We had... More

Wonderful boat trip on a remote part of St Johns River. Beautiful scenery, lots of birds, alligators, and a very knowledgable and personable tour guide. Great ride and a great value. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Scenic drive from Orlando. Allow enough time as the drive takes longer than one would think

Although we trust TA reviews, we're always a bit concerned going to a "fishing camp"; what is paradise for some can be a bit "rustic" for others. We have been to many marina/hotel places that are great for what they provide, which is access to a good fishing site and a bed and bath, but still are a bit moldy... More

Grest place to stay rent pontoon boat cruise st joun river. We docked our boat at blue springs and had a bbq. Which was awesome. We've stayed everywhere in Florida and this was one of the greatest getaways.

My husband and I stayed in the Captain's Suite a couple weeks ago and it was absolutely beautiful!! The view of the St. John's River, and the sunsets and sunrises you can watch from the deck are beyond memorable. The photos of the suite on the hotel's website do not do the room justice! It is HUGE, and the kitchen... More

Hontoon Island Resort and Marina is the Florida I remember as a child. Off the beatan path, Peaceful, tranquil, and full of nature. Not your fancy multi resort of today, but a resort of years gone by. Great service, friendly staff and clean, modern rooms. twenty minutes into Deland, with many restaurants, and shops. Come, sit and watch the sun... More

Stayed there and took a boat ride around the island. Great birds and other wildlife. The rooms were clean and the property well maintained but it is a stretch to call this place a resort. The rooms lack some if the basics such as a coffee maker or hair dryer. There is no restaurant, nearest one is miles away. However... More

There is not one thing negative to say about Hontoon Landing and Marina. We found Hontoon Landing on the internet. What a wonderful surprise. We stayed in the Captain's Suite. This suite has a private lanai/deck that overlooks the river. Every morning while having coffee we saw an amazing array of birds, sometimes an alligator and the beauty of Hontoon... More
