My husband and I stopped at this charming little place on our way home to South Florida from Texas. We had our two little dogs with us and the room we had was perfect for the 4 of us. The room had an entrance that opened to the street and one through the lobby. It was so nice to be... More

We stayed at the Hotel for a family wedding. Three of our families were here and we loved it! It is the best place to stay in the area. The restaurant is excellent, and the hotel treats you as family. We would highly recommend it!

I found a deal on living social and purchased the special they were offering which was 2 night stay, breakfast both days, free appetizer from Bogeys the restaurant next door, 2 welcome drinks from the wine bar downstairs and a bottle of champagne. Everyone at the hotel was so nice and helpful, they made us both feel right at home.... More

I recently returned home for my school reunion (Ol school). I decided to stay at the down town hotel which I had known as a child growing up there many years ago - one of the local Drug store or Pharmacy - now known as Hotel DeFuniak. What a very pleasant surprise. I was greeted by the owners Tom and... More

A stay here is to travel back to old Florida. A very friendly staff, warm owners, and outstanding rooms. The breakfast was fantastic. Parking is easy. The lake and historic homes are walking distance. It's a glimpse of how traveling used to be and nothing could be more charming.

Historic Hotel Defuniak offers the traveler unique B&B accommodations and the convenience of Bogey's restaurant/bar next door. The lobby is warm and welcoming with overstuffed sofas and lovely antiques. It does have an elevator as well as stairs to the 2nd floor. Rooms are cozy, comfortable, clean, and competitively priced. Each has different decor and suites are furnished with a... More

I stay here for business when in the area and it is just wonderful. The owners run the place and take a great deal of pride in this hotel. They are so welcoming and friendly and really treat their guests like royalty. The freshly cooked breakfast is always a delight and the rooms each have an interesting "theme" and are... More
