Website did not indicate Rest/Bar closed for renovations, this was important to us. No HOT WATER Sinks do not drain, therefore if you cook don't plan on using dishwasher, because it's right under kitchen sink. Sounds like a generator is running 24/7 Elevators, scarry Staff advised currently going through bankruptcy, they were sorry for any dissatisfaction with our stay, but... More

I read some of these reviews and was genuinely worried about staying here for the 2015 Speedweeks. Certainly the Grand Seas is not currently the Marriott (which I usually stay with), but the property is safe, clean and probably above average for some of other Daytona properties. The staff was awesome and accommodating for every request. We were with a... More

I have never wrote a review but this place is that BAD. Security lighting in parking lot is non existent, very unsafe, Elevator was broken and the one elevator that worked smelled like urine, Room was tidy but filthy. My wife had to clean the bathroom floor before she would use it. Stains on the sheets and on the couch... More

We booked a reservation for July 4, 2015 in September of 2014. Was just surprised by our daughter at Christmas that we are expecting our first grandchild. Called and explained situation as grandchild is due on July 3, 2015 therefore, we would not be traveling. Grand Seas would not cancel our reservation without applying a cancellation fee. I can understand... More

The view was wonderful but the room was sadly in need of updating. We stayed for a week on the ground floor, so had our own patio which was a plus. Very nice view from the doors opening out onto that patio. We slept in a murphy bed, which we requested to have the mattress replaced immediately due to its... More

First of all, the resort is dated. The beds are hard. The building is in need of a facelift. So what! I didn't come here to sit in the room all week. They are gonna be renovated soon. The location is awesome. The pools are excellent. The beach access is fantastic. It is real close to a beach ramp do... More

I paid a getaway price so it was very inexpensive for the week. Expectations were low and they met my expectations. I could go into details about the problems. They know the problems and say they are on it. Great view and location. I probably would not go back.

12/3/14-12/6/14. When we 1st arrived they booked us into a one bedroom room. Reservations clearly stated a 2 bedroom rm. That was corrected quickly, but only after we had moved our luggage to the room which was located on the 2nd floor and the correct room was on the 3rd. So we moved our luggage which was an inconvenience. The... More

The location and amenities surrounding the resort are good. But, the beds, other furnishings, the elevator, etc. are in very poor shape. I realize that the manager says it is now under new management (for two months) but they don't seem to be putting any money into upgrading it. We'll never return.
