We stayed at the Mayan during August with our son who uses a wheelchair and we were pleasantly surprised by the location and staff. Although the parking lot is small, the staff was very helpful and made sure that we always had an easy location to load and unload our son. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The boardwalk and... Really needs an upgrade. The bed was comfy but the tub didn't drain and it could have been a little cleaner. Pretty noisy with the Ocean Deck right next door. Breakfast was very lame, even out of coffee one morning. Having to pay for parking is really aggravating.

We stayed at the Mayan Inn the night of 2/15/2012. We checked in at midnight. Upon arrival there was a very loud band playing next door. We found you had to pay to park at the hotel. We got to our room and immediately found bugs crawling on the wall. The room was also in need of updating. We called... More

Stayed at the Mayan 3 nights last week, good value great location right on the beach. Room was clean and the staff seems friendly. Only gripe is, they charge $5 a day for parking and the walls must be paper thin. I was on the 3rd floor and I could hear a basic conversation on both sides. Most people complain... More

I just visited the Mayan again for a weekend mini vacation. It was good except for the roaches. It wasn't too bad just a few german cockroaches I saw. They really need to get a hold on the bug problem. I do not know if they have a pest control. If they could rid the building of roaches it would... More

Thank you so mush for choosing us again as your Daytona Beach destination. I am so sorry that you had a pest issue. We do infact have pest control through a reputable company which services our property bimonthly to aid in the defense against these types of issues occuring. I will certainly make them aware of your complaint and I... More

There are two types of hotels on Daytona Beach these days - the brand new hi-rises charging big $$$ and the places that have been around for a long time, slowly disintegrating into the sand. The Mayan falls into the second category, but you could do a lot worse (for more money, too.) Rooms are not huge, but not tiny... More

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, no bug issues. The staff was nice, and this was a comfortable size room, but there were some issues. First the good stuff: The biggest benefit between this hotel and the motels I have stayed at in Daytona previously was the provided breakfast - dry cereal, instant oatmeal and grits, toast with... My husband and I stayed at the Mayan Inn in 2011 and thought it was a great place for not only location, but service and room quality as well. We returned for a night this passed weekend, and it will probably be the last time we visit this hotel. I paid a little extra to book an Oceanfront King Bed... More

Did not have proper amount of staff to deal with a holiday full house. Waited 2 hours for a room that was booked 5 months ago. When asked why others walking in were getting rooms right away, we were told thats the luck of the draw. When we finally got a room, it was still dirty! The owner of this... More

In most cases, I go out of my way to post good things about a hotel. All my wife and I need are clean sheets, a hot shower and peaceful atmosphere. Whether it be 1 star or 5 is almost irrelevant, as long as these minimal requirements are met. That being said, we got the Mayan Inn through Priceline.com and... More
