Yes it needs an update. You would too after a few Spring Breaks. New furniture, carpet, drapes, TV and paint will bring it back. But the room we stayed in was very clean, the staff very friendly and the location is one of the best on the beach. We are looking forward to our next stay at the "New" Mayan... More

After our other hotel gave away our room (next door). They stepped up and gave us a room. Yes it's an older hotel that needs cosmetics done. But to sleep and be gone all day not something I'm worried about. Our room did have a nice big garden hot tub in it, which was awesome after a long day on... More

Quit having negative comments towards this place! I have been coming to this hotel for about 17 years & it's my favorite hotel in Daytona beach. There is absaloutly nothing wrong with it. Out of all the rooms I have been in in 17 years, it was great. My family , friends & I have a great time. The workers... More

Stayed here with my entire football team as we had a bowl game n Daytona Beach. Can't comment much on the price, as the organization paid for it. I will say that the staff was friendly and seemed to have a good handle on things. The room itself wasn't bad. It was clean (not spotless) and acceptable. The bathroom sink... More

this is the first of 4 nights here the beds are lumpy, rooms old and in need of repair. The decor old ripped and discolored. the elevator was malfunctioning and parking was next to impossible. If not for the fact that it's on the beach there would be nor reason to be there. Did i mention there was no heated... More

We had a great time at the Mayan. We were are to walk to several places and we ended up spending New Years Eve at the hotel bar. The bartender was awesome at the rest of the staff was very nice too. The Mayan definitely is not the Taj Mahal, but for the money it is a very good place... More

We had a great Daytona experience at the Mayan Inn. The staff was very attentive, the rooms are clean and the resort is within walking distance to main street. For the price you pay, the Mayan Inn is a good deal and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay a fortune.

Awesome hotel, when me and my husband stayed there we stayed in a nice suite room with a full kitchen that was right on the beach side. Loved the fact that it was so close to all the attractions like the pier , we could see the ferris wheel from our balcony. We will stay there again.
