This was our third stay at the South Shore. The motel is small, very clean, and quiet. We stayed in an ocean front efficiency on the second floor with a full kitchen. It has a full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, toaster and utensils. The only thing it's missing is a microwave which is kind of a pain. The... More

We needed a place in Daytona Beach Shores to "unwind" and just enjoy the beach! We know this area, so were very happy to find the South Shore Motel. The reviews I read prompted me to call and reserve a spot. It was GREAT! We had an ocean view in a room with the kitchenette and everything was neat and... More

My whole family loves this motel! We come almost yearly. The owners are so nice and the rooms are clean and nice. One of the things we love the most is that it is a small place so you aren't constantly waiting for the elevator or having to drag your stuff across the lobby. there is a kitchenette for lunch... We have just spent a week here. From the minute we arrived our gracious host and hostess made us feel welcome and part of the "family". They always took time to chat or help out. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The room does not have wifi or a microwave, but you can purchase an internet card and you... More

Stayed here over Labor Day. We're very familiar with the area and usually try to pick the old style mom/pop type places. Had a 3rd floor (there's only 3 floors) room with a kitchenette. The owners were very nice and friendly, and the place was very clean. Be aware-it is very basic-bring your own shampoo/hair dryer/dish soap if you need... More

I absolutely love this little motel. It is quiet, very clean, and the owners make you feel very at home. We stayed in an ocean front room on the third floor with a full kitchen which was nice for breakfasts and lunches. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The views of the sunrise in the morning were amazing. One... More

We have been staying in this motel almost yearly since 1999. The owners always make us feel like family and never hesitate to honor any request. The housekeeper always remember us also and never hesitates to inquire about family members who may not be with us. There are good restaurants within walking distance of the motel and a nice kitchen... More

We have stayed at the South Shore for at least seven years in a row. The rates are reasonable, the rooms are always clean. The property is located just up from El Portal (beach access) so you can quickly reach the beach for driving if you wish. A Lifeguard is stationed each day on the beach within a few yards... More

My family been staying at South Shore Motel for 10 years and love the area. Its a small mom and pop motel that is very well taken care of and if you have any problems they take care of the problem right then. The motel is right on the beach and plenty of restarunts near by IE Ihop, Red Lobster,... More

I stayed at the South Shore Motel in Daytona Beach Shores for 6 nights at the end of June 2007. This was part of a 3 week trip with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay at this motel which is an older style property on the seaward side of the coast road. We... More
