We wwant to Universal at Thanksgiving and we found this condo for under $400 for the whole week. It was pretty and clean. The person who rented it was nice and very prompt. The pool and recreation area was not great. Dark and looked like it has been left to its own devices. The office was not open while we... More

Our family stayed for a week October 2013 and had an awesome trip. Spacious resort with lovely pool and clubhouse including gym. Floodlit tennis was most enjoyable but they also have voleyball and basketball. Ideal for trips to the Parks and the Gulf Coast. Just off Interstate4.

We were there for a week, and the pool wasn't heated. The water was ice cold. No way could we go in. So we thought lets go in the hot tub it said 104 degrees, unfortunately that was almost as cold as the pool. It definitely wasn't 104 degrees. The house we stayed was enjoyable, but we were very sad... More

Stayed at the 4 bedroom unit loved it, went to City Walk, Halloween Night, and Universal; Enjoyed close by restaurants and a night walk at Old Town, visited shops etc. The unit was very clean, nice size washer & dryer; Weather was beautiful so we did a bbq and ate on the back patio overlooking the pond watching the white... Lots of reviews here - good and bad. I think your experience likely depends on who owns the unit and how it is maintained. I rented a studio unit for a week. The unit I stayed in was clean and the price was right. The owner is keeping it in good shape and there were no issues with the unit.... More

In 2005, this resort was a dissappointment, but good on the pocket book. Because I am still on a strict budget, I decided to try The Island Club Resort and Spa again. The price was still low; and I had heard that improvements have been made. I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The resort looks clean and well kept. The pool,... More

Recently back from a wonderful 2 week holiday on Island Club West. Found the resort very safe and friendly. The gym was well equipped; the pool clean and attractive; particularly enjoyed the hot tub; enjoyed watching the family play floodlit tennis. Only a short and quiet stroll to the nearby supermarket and restaurants. Only 12 miles from Disney parks. Our... More

I really enjoyed Island Club West. The townhouse was awesome with plenty of bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware and pots and pans and best of all with a microwave, stove and full size fridge. I really loved the tropical setting and the newly finished pool was awesome.

While there are tenants in these places that are lower income, the units themselves are not too bad. Skylights and jacuzzi tub in master washer/dryer etc. Good places for the money!

I have actually lived at Island club west for 2 years. When I first moved in the pool was nasty, clubhouse mediocre, and gate access hard to manage. Over the past years the clubhouse has been closed, for the better. They are building a new pool and clubhouse after problems with the previous hoa. The new hoa is very strict... More
