Generally on the basis of prior reviews, we decided to give the Kings Bay Lodge a chance. Typically when traveling with the family, we don't take too many trips outside of the tried and true, but this time we needed something nearby the marina for an early-morning departure for a manatee tour, and figured that we would be okay. In... more

We enjoyed our stay in one of the clean, spacious well equipped suites. My son loved the river fed natural pool. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but adequate for purpose. The air con was quite noisy, but the location was great. more

We had stayed in this "lodge" during scalloping season in 2008 and were scheduled for this July 2009 but got a phone call from the manager two weeks prior to our arrival informing us that there was a mistake made with "the books" (they are not computerized there). The three rooms we THOUGHT we had reserved some two months ago... more

This is like stepping back in time and I did really enjoy that ambience. You get enormous rooms for the money you pay and it is in a great location on Crystal River. For cheap accommodation it is impossible to beat and like others I would rather stay here than at a chain, however! It is time to invest a... more

My friend and i found this wonderful gem in the middle of Crystal River via Trip advisor. A mom and pop run hotel made up of efficiency units and some hotel rooms, it is clean , private and very comfortable. We found the beds to be very comfy and the room was spacious and even had a couple of reclining... more

Kings Bay Lodge is like a page out of one of the early color movies made in Florida in the 50's...You'ves got great big trees with Spanish moss, the bay right next to the motel and everything just seems a bit slower and quieter. When you first approach Kings Bay you know it will be different. Instead of pulling in... more

My hunny & I stayed here last weekend & LOVED the place! We knew going in that it wasn't the Ritz but it was CLEAN, NEAT, COLD AC, SPACIOUS, FRIENDLY & REASONABLY PRICED! Better than a big chain. Boat docking was a breeze, restraunts within a put-put from the dock, cool old FL spring fed pool that is ice cold... more

The King's Bay Lodge is directly on the water and allows you to dock a boat on property. There is a captain who docks there who will take you out on the water to swim with the manatees, scuba, sightsee, etc. It is an easy, 1 - 2 block walk to restaurants, pubs, shopping, etc. The rooms are large, with... more
