Great place for couples, family with small kids or teens. Right on the river, outdoor covered picnic areas with BBQ grills available. Pool is fed by river water, so you swim with small little fish above a lush seagrass bottom. Close to Manatee tour operators and restaurants. Staff is friendly, place is simple, but clean. they have a dock and... More

We (2 adults and 2 young teens) stayed here 2 nights in April 2014 based on the reviews from others on tripadvisor. We will definitely stay here again should we come back to CR (and we plan too). The room (an efficiency apartment) was spacious and clean. The bathroom had recently been remodeled and was very nice. The little kitchenette... More

The furniture etc. are not the newest but who goes to stay in the room? The spring fed pool is great when the water is up; sometimes it's low. The atmosphere is definitely laid back. It's a great place to bring the boat and go fishing; and bar hop by boat at night. After a long day in the sun... More

Absolutely perfect! Tracy is so welcoming. We had rooms 4 & 5 - more than adequate for our family of 4 + 2 kids. We fell in love with this place and the locals, so we just had to have an extra night. The eco pool is unique, and Cpt White's Tour & Swimming with Manatees is AWESOME! the only... More

Crystal River is the type of place where you want to stay in local places, eat homemade food and enjoy the small town life! When I looked for hotels in the area, Kings Bay Lodge looked just what I wanted. And it was exactly what I was looking for. The tiny motel is right on the water and totally reminded... More

This is a perfect place to stay! The room was large and had a very convenient kitchen with all the things you need to do basic cooking. Comfy chairs and beds. Bathroom very efficient and lots of warm water. All was quite clean. We saw a manatee at the dock at the end of the property on our first evening... More

Every room is different and every room has owners but is run as a motel. Our room was the best we ever had. It has plenty of room, an extra large TV, a kitchen with appliances that work, storage space...The place is like a cabin or litle house you live in while in the area. We were unable to try... More

First of all, I want to say that my wife and I didn't totally agree on what rating to give this motel. Initially, I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but let me explain that... This place is NOT a five-star hotel! It is exactly as the owner represents it. It is a facility that clearly has been in... More

Yep, it's an old Florida motel. Each of it's 18 rooms are different. Room #10 (where we stayed) has a king bed, 2 comfortable chairs, a sofa, 42" TV, kitchenette with a dining table with 4 chairs. My wife who only likes to stay at "nicer" hotels, is very satisfied with this place. Be adventuresome and get off the Beaten... More

I belong to a group of active 50-70 year-olds, and about 20 of us spent a delightful weekend at the Kings Bay Lodge recently. I can't take credit for booking our rooms, but profusely thanked the member who did - this is a great place! Don't be fooled by the exterior - the lodge may be 50 or 60 years... More
