We arrived by bike to stay in Cross City for the night. The owner-operators were a bit strident about bike storage (not in the rooms) and moving furniture to take advantage to of evening outside, and they fussed at us for taking a few extra towels to use in the room without first asking. But they took a great deal... More

If you want a luxury hotel or a chain hotel, don't stay here. This is a very clean, quaint, locally owned and operated motel that offers a comfortable and convenient location. We stayed here on our way from point a to point b and to be perfectly honest, I was a little concerned about finding a reasonably-priced and safe place... More

A last minute stay at the Carriage Inn proved to be pleasant. We made a last minute stop in Cross City while exploring the Suwannee Refuge and were very pleased at how clean and spacious the rooms were for the price we paid an added bonus was the restaurant right next door. Great food and great price.

Stayed there for Valentine's day weekend. The Ac/Heat unit in the bedroom is controlled by the room key. Meaning, if you are not inside the room? It will not work. Came back from Steinhatchee around 9pm to a frozen cold room. The window AC/Heat unit could not keep up. The room was large and very clean. There were no security... More

When traveling through central Florida I prefer to stay off I-75 and I-10 if I can in order to enjoy the scenery. With great rates, good service and a restaurant within walking distance I always stop at the Carriage Inn. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. Best value in this part of Florida.

The wife and I needed an overnight stay in the area on Labor Day weekend. This was recommended by another motel 25 miles away. Called for a reservation, all she wanted was my first name, no credit card number. A little concerned on arrival, there was no problem what so ever. Very clean, beds were fine, AC worked good. We... Called days ahead. We needed room on first floor while my broken leg is healing. I knew there was a language barrier but reservation seemed to be OK. Upon arrival, husband couldn't find it. Wife, Urzula (delightful Polish lady) came out, did the "Oh no" face>palm when she saw my crutch. She misunderstood. She put us upstairs at half price... More

Stayed here with a group on an overnight motorcycle trip. Staff was friendly and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small and the look of the place was quite dated (but I really don't care). If you are looking for a place to stop on your way through town, then this is a great place for... More

Spent a night at the Inn, which was clean and neat. Upon returning home discovered an item was left in our room. After calling the Inn to advise them of MY mistake, the owners mailed the item to me. Not too many if any hotels would have done that. This shows the owner's true character.

Wow, I got to live in 1965 a few days. A simple, basic “roadway inn,” nothing fancy about it, just a place to stop along the way for a very fair price (a groovy $50 grand total). So many vintage motels have become seedy and scary, but this one is not like that, it is respectable. The on-site owners are... More
