We found out the hard way the hotel is "pet friendly", at 8 am in the morning, so our plans to sleep late were ruined. This La Quinta at 3100 N University DR looks pretty from the outside and the pool area is not bad....however, the entire hotel smells bad - a combo of cigarette smoke, even on the non-smoking floor, and fried food, and dingy, musty rooms. The hotel was comfortable and clean, with convenient washer- dryers on site, and complimentary breakfast. The view from our rooms looked out over the pool and adjacent golf course which was pleasant.
