Staying at the Hotel St. Michel is like taking a trip back in time and across the Atlantic -- all in an excellent central location and at a great price. My husband and I recently stayed there on a shopping trip to Miami and we had a very nice (if oddly shaped) room with a king bed. All was clean... More

We had reservations at a Days Inn and at the last minute, based on trip advisor reviews, we switched to Hotel St. Michel. Everything about our stay was wonderful, including my conversation with the night manager who made our reservation and recommended a restaurant, POC, right across the street, where our entire party met for lunch. The staff is so... More

Coral Gables, Fl. isn't South Beach (thank heavens) and The Place St. Michel isn't a Westin or a Deco star of Collins Ave. What it is is a three story almost l00 year old hotel on one of Coral Gable's main streets. There's a French bakery two blocks away that opens at 7 a.m., one of the nation's great remaining... More

My husband and I checked in to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. The Hotel is lovely and quaint. It reminded us of a bed and breakfast. The rooms were beautifully decorated with antiques. The service was amazing. They sent us a complimentary bottle of wine. We are from Miami and we would defiantly stay here again. We truly loved it!

We stayed here for a weekend, for the price and location this was easily the best hotel we could find in the area. On arrival we werent disappointed, its nothing flashy, but rooms are clean and spacious. Would stay here again if in the Miami area.

When I first entered the tiny lobby, I thought I had reserved a shabby place. But the rooms and appointments were beautiful. This was more than the typical motel or hotel. The furnishings and antiques gave a good bit of charm. The rooms were much nicer than the lobby and hallways. The old elevator had to be run by an... More

The Hotel St. Michel is really out of context in the very modern environment of Coral Gables. It's one step from antiquated but I happen to enjoy that sort of place. Plenty of great restaurants to walk to within a few blocks. I have no complaints, esp. since the wifi was free AND super-speedy, unlike most hotels.

Fabulous staff, clean room (although small), good location for going to tennis tournament on Key Biscayne, quaint furniture, not an ordinary chain, will stay here again next year

I loved this place and I thought it was very reasonably priced. There was no restaurant or bar at this time however they do include a breakfast - pastries and such that was very nice. The location was very close to some excellent restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The people were very friendly and made sure we were... More

Arriving on a Sunday evening, it was somewhat desolate. However the bustle of the workweek made the area come alive. Nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself is a study in architectural interest. Beautiful antiques throughout. Room 203 was a good fit for us. Comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Everyone working there was pleasant. Continental breakfast was... More
