We've stayed twice at this endearing little hotel, which delivers great value in a pricey market. The Coral Gables location is hard to beat--calmer than Miami Beach yet a short walk to everything you need from good restaurants and coffee shops to one of the most inviting bookstores I know, the aptly named Books & Books. Friendly staff, decent WiFi,... More

This hotel is charming, with really nice people, and within walking distance of all the best things in Coral Gables -- restaurants, Books & Books, etc. We live in Key West and this is our "get away" in Miami for long weekends, and we have never been disappointed. Do NOT stay here if you require a chain hotel or resort,... More

If you're looking for a Radisson, don't stay here. But, if you're looking for old world charm, a clean, quiet room, and great customer service...this is it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's walking distance to all the amenities that the "Miracle Mile" has to offer. Can't wait until the restaurant is fully renovated and functional.

The title pretty much sums it up. We stayed in room 208 which is a simple, relatively small room with a King bed, a small flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, a bookshelf, two nightstands, an armchair, and a neat antique sewing machine table. If I chose to I suppose I could criticize, a couple of small cracks in the parquet floor,... More

The hotel still has its original elevator from the 20s, which is very fun to see, and the rooms are decorated in period pieces but with modern conveniences (good shower, vigorous AC). The staff was pleasant and we slept very well. Right now (Sept. 2014) there is a Peruvian restaurant, pretty new, attached to the hotel-- we had a nice... More

While the front desk staff was warm and welcoming my room was anything but that. First off, there were massive stains on the only chair in the room; I would't even put my bag on it that's how grossed out I was. The bed itself was uncomfortable and hard, the pillows were terrible and I kept finding small black ants... More

I recommend this hotel. The staff is wonderful and the location is the best. I booked this hotel for one night and came early in the morning and the manager gave me a room and an upgrade. She was very friendly. The night person a young man was also very friendly and helpful. You can get a very affordable breakfast... More

It seems many of the hotel's original furniture is still in use at this hotel. Certainly the elevator is. The parquet floors--maybe. Though the air-conditioner wasn't working to full capacity, we still slept well because of the ceiling fan. The sleep quality was excellent. I think the walls must be very thick and solid. The beds were comfortable too. We... More
