We just got back from Villas at Summer Bay. We were so pleasantly surprised that I had to join tripadvisor just to tell people not to listen to the bad reviews. First time at this resort. We drove from Toronto to Orlando; we were four adults and two children. In a “nutshell”, I would recommend this resort to all families visiting the Orlando area with access to a car. Easy access to highway and a lot of amenities in close vicinity to resort (wal-mart, Costco, groceries etc for diapers, baby food...etc).... more

This is my second time at Summer Bay. The place is great. Got to jet ski, relax in the pool while drinking a pina colada. Excellent view by the lake. The only complaint I would have would be the beds. They were VERY hard to sleep on. My fiance and I thought at first we were sleeping on the box... more

We went to FL this year with friends who own at Orange Lake. OLake was booked so the agent recommended this resort. It was 7 of us (kids 2, 5 & 11) so we stayed in one the houses. It was FABULOUS. If you are looking for a nice comfortable nights sleep on a comfortable matress this is not the place to stay! After spending all day on your feet at Disney World don't expect a good nights sleep... No maid service! You have to empty your own garbage! No clean towels (they charge for any extra towels). more

We loved the heated pools(except the splash park) for the kids and swam every night. We did not like that they did not clean our rooms in the middle of our stay, or change the towels. It was close to Walmart so that was nice. The shuttle service stunk and that was one of the main reasons for our stay.... more

We just got back from Orlando last week. If you are planning on using the free shuttle service you should know that the times are not great. You can go at 8:00, 10:00, or 12:00a.m. You can't come back until either 6:30 or 8:30 p.m. We ended up driving two mini vans and paying parking every day. Parking is $14... more

We own at Summer Bay and have been for a long weekend in September for the past 3 years now. Every trip has been a wonderful experience. This time we stayed in a one bedroom in Building 403. The room was comfortable and up to date. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us. Also everything was clean.... more
