Ceder Key is a pretty cool little out of the way place. #4 cottage was nice, on the bay with a screened in porch. Had a kitchenette, generally very nice. The reason I did not give a higher rating is twofold. First the bed was terrible; saggy and unsupportive. My wife slept in it but not well. I had to... More

Wanting to unplug? Want to slow down & remember how to breathe? Then Pirates Cove is a good place to stay. Nothing fancy. No gimmicks. Just down home comfort. The cottage was clean, comfortable & everything needed was available. The owners are super. It's easy to get to most of Cedar Key attractions from this location. There is a sidewalk... More

My wife and I try to stay here any chance we can. Our favorite time is in the winter when the crowds are at a minimum. This place is cozy and rustic but very clean. Don't go here expecting a Marriott.

Awesome Cozy place and especially great because we had our two dogs. Just relaxing ! Note- they have a canoe to use but watch for the low tide. 😀 The cottage (#6) is close to everything and less than a mile from the main cedar key waterfront. Will be back. Randy

My husband and I jumped in the car for an unplanned weekend adventure! We ended up in Cedar Key and lucked upon Pirate Cove Cottages! And lucky indeed!! We fell in love with the place as soon as we pulled into the parking lot! The cottages are absolutely adorable and the grounds are impeccable! We stayed in room 7 and... More

We stumbled on Pirates Cove Facebook page after a friend "Liked" their page. It sounded great and all the reviews were good and candid. It was fairly inexpensive, but had everything we wanted: kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove, TV, wifi and was pet-friendly, so we could take our two aging dogs with us (it's very traumatic to leave them at home... Easy going relaxing place to stay. Complete kitchen, coffee maker, microwave, clean room. Nice shady area by water. Walking distance to several restaurants. Although we've stayed in other "dog friendly" places in Cedar Key, we felt this one really lives up to the attribute, so we booked another stay before we left. Can't wait to go back!

This was a wonderful place to stay for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time and the staff was so helpful. Walked to town and enjoyed this laid back little town. Cottages were clean and well appointed.
