What a wonderful place to stay on Cedar Key. The owners are super friendly, the cottages are adorable, and really all you could need for a stay at this "old school Florida" island vacation. Dog friendly, I went with my dog, and had a great time over Thanksgiving. A great location with access to town in a short walk as... More

I arrived in Cedar Key 2 days ahead of schedule and needed a place to stay. The RV park where I was awaiting on referred me to Pirates Cove and called ahead to alert them I wanted a place for two nights. I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean, and pretty the cottages are. I had my choice of... More

I can't say enough about what a great experience we had. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The cottages are clean and QUIET! The beds are also nice an comfy. You really feel like you are away from the world. Great views from the screened in porch and deck. When they say dog friendly they really mean it. I felt... More

We stayed here for three nights for a relaxing long weekend getaway. We have stayed at several places in Cedar Key, but this is our new favorite. It's not fancy, but the rooms are very clean, and the property is well-cared for. Each cottage has a microwave and a small refrigerator, and there is a grill in the courtyard area... More

If you are looking for a real "Old Florida" experience this is the place. We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed every minute of our stay. They welcomed our 2 dogs as part of our family! Now, if you are expecting a 4 star location, you are going to have to visit another area of Florida, but you can sure... More

From the impersonal but efficient attention of chain motels and hotels, this little place with only 6 cottages is a pleasure. Rooms are individually decorated. We had a screened porch overlooking the waterway. Very quiet. Complete kitchen if you are staying longer. The town is small on the Gulf Coast and sleepy at this time of year. Highly recommend this... This is a perfect location close to everything. Pet friendly. Run by father and son who couldn't be nicer. Cottage 6 has a lovely deck. Make sure to say hello to billy the cat who has a been a resident for years.

We had cottage number 2, which featured a double bed and futon/sofa. There was extensive water damage in the bathroom (the floor was very springy), but this didn't stop us from enjoying the cabin. The fridge was very large and the stove appeared to work fine. The free wifi was essential as our phones had spotty reception. One major downside... More

We arrived late this past Friday night for a weekend fishing trip with a friend, Donna had everything ready for cottage #5 for our late arrival, I've visited cedar keys a dozen times over the past several years and have stayed numerous places but this one I've enjoyed the most, the cottage was perfect, very quiet, clean and the beds... I have read some of the reviews, and am a little confused by the disappointment others have experienced. I got exactly what I expected,a quaint little cottage. Yes they are older, but they are immaculate. If you are looking for a high end resort, move on. The owners son was extremely nice and helpful. For 80 dollars a night, you can't beat it. We... More
