We stayed at this park over July 4th weekend. It is a short bike ride to the Cedar Key dock area, most of it on sidewalk as it is a narrow two lane road that can get busy. The park was very quiet and pleasant to stay in. The bathrooms were very clean. My main caution is that the sites... More

This place was awesome! Close enough to the main part of Cedar Key, yet far enough away (1.3 mi) to be private enough. Folks are friendly and a great place for music during the winter months when there's more people. Spaces can be a little tight, but as for help if you back in. They have back in and pull... More

Very friendly people. We booked for 2 days and had to pay in advance but if we had to cancel, we would receive a raincheck for up to a year. When I called in for the reservation, the lady said she will reserve a nice spot for us. Sure enough... it was a beautiful spot with a view of the... More

Owners are awesome! We have been annual guests for 7 years missing once for the birth of our grandson who just spent his first birthday here. 40' class A with slides on both sides. Use spot 13 or 17 for waterfront with a dock. Many inside will hold a big camper, but choose carefully or ask the staff for help!... More

This is my 4th and last stay, it's just too tight and I have a19 ft trailer. This camp was set up when teardrop s or small vintage travel trailers were pulled buy the family's sedan. My truck was damaged by someone pulling a pontoon boat thru, I personally talked with 3 people who had damage trying to get into... More

Nice park close to town. great owners. good food at campground restaurant. The landscaping and views are exceptional. Most camp workers there are exceptionally friendly courteous and productive. There are one or two that are condescending, and have an overall negative attitude. The sites are very close together. It is what it is.

Cedar Key is a lovely, quaint and quirky island with about 800 souls residing there full time. Clamming is the main industry and the small downtown area is just that - small. The fire department is volunteer and the police department is small. I start with this so you understand you're not heading to the lower keys or some other... More

Arrived late on 03/31/14 due to hold ups en route, it was dark and the truck looked too big to manoveur, found someone in RV park who told us to call out of hours number to get assistance. Lady answered the phone and told me our information was pinned to the board outside the office. Having looked at the pinned... More

We just returned home to New Jersey from one month at Sunset Isle RV Park. In the past five years we have traveled to many, many RV parks all over the USA and have been more than pleased with most of them but this park gets our vote for being the best of all. Its not as fancy, high tech or... More

At the time, I did not have an RV and went tent camping with me Mates for a pirate festival. They worked out a deal for tent campers who shared sites. As a bonus, Tom of Cedar Key Kayaks, came and took us on a tour. YOU CAN kayak within 1-2 hours of high tide right from the campground. AND... More
