When we arrived we had some issues but they were fixed right away. The door had gaps in between the door and the frame we did use duck tape to seal it because I didn't want lizards getting in ha ha. But overall we loved it here and plan on coming back with kids. Great little family town very peaceful... More

We looked forward to our stay for weeks. Looked at photos of the place several times and kept seeing ourselves down by the water with a couple of beers in hand watching the sunset. We stayed in a smaller cabin and it was nothing like the photos. The grounds were over grown and the outside sitting area was nasty. We... More

I spent 5 days in Cedar Key, staying at Mermaids Landing. It's exactly what I was looking for. No crowds, no one in the room over head, and no elevators. Just a pleasant walk through the natural lawn full of flowers and fruit trees, and right into a quaint cabin. This one was right on the water, so I could... More

We've stayed at Mermaids Landing for a second time. These are older cabins with a lot of character. The nine cabins are located right on Rte. 24 and there are many options to select from. My husband and I like the two double bed cabin with the back porch that looks out onto the water. This has an eat in... More

I recently spent a week at Mermaids Landing. They are a series of 9 cottages with water frontage overlooking the tidal flats. Several of the cottages have water views and one is right on the water. The cottages are simple with basic amenities like fridge and stoves and air conditioning for the hot summer weather in Florida. Some are small... More

Mermaids Landing was perfect for our relaxed romantic weekend away from work and kids! Nine different cabins to choose from, very quiet, and low key. Within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We'll definitely be returning again and again.

One reviewer wrote that it seemed like staying here was like being in Florida in the 1940s...that's the point! If you want 2014 style accommodations please don't stay here; if you want quaint, rustic, unique, cozy, etc. then this is your place! Cottage #4 is right on the bay with a deck and unbelievable views! Cottage #9 has the best... More

Mermaid's Landing is right off the keys and a lovely little nesting of rustic cottages. Cathy is super nice and we had a fantastic time. This is not the Four Seasons; it's a quiet, relaxing escape from the day to day grind. The price is half what you'd pay at Fenimore Mill. It is a 5 minute drive to the... More

Very outdated. You would think you are in FL in the 1940's. Electrical wires just hanging on the outside of cottage. Extremely small bathroom. Noisy wall air conditioning that barely kept up with cooling. Made it difficult to sleep.

This is a wonderful quaint little place that suites the area well. We stayed in #9 with a big back porch screened in, right iff the kitchen. Got some local seafood and just enjoyed the atmosphere, good weather and peace and quite. I would recommend the Mermaids Landing to anyone wanting to get away from the hussle and bussle. Very...
