My wife and I love Cedar Key. So much we bought a place there. You have to pass Low Key (LKH) to get to the town. After passing it hundreds of times we finally went there at the urging of many locals. We were blown away by the uniqueness and art eye candy built into the place. Old Florida Funky... More

We booked into the LKH for the last part of our Gulf Coast Florida trip and we were just blown away by the place! The size of our room (No 5) surprised us as it was more of an apartment, with plenty of space, lovely bedroom, kitchen, sitting area and three tvs! The Tiki Bar was just the best ever... More

My wife and I spent the weekend in Cedar Key and stayed at the Low-Key Hideaway. The grounds match Cedar Key perfectly - funky and fun! The rooms are smaller than most, but very clean and comfortable. The location is right between the State Road and the water. Fortunately, the traffic was not an issue and the road noise was... More

This is possibly the best place we have been to have drinks!! Unfortunately we did not have the pleasure of staying here but we did have a lot of fun here in the Tiki Bar!!! Pat and Cindy Bonish make you feel very welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Pat was the bartender for the evening, and... More

Won a gift certificate or probably would not have given this spot a second look. I mean, it only has 5 rooms, and RV spots on the side of the road. SOOOOOOO glad we added on a few nights. What a delight! No, it's not the Four Seasons, and there's no butler or tour bus. Welcome cooks and foodies! They... More

Large spacious site for our 38 ft motorhome. Upon arrival, they furnished a nice outdoor rug. The sunset was amazing and also a fun gathering of people at the tiki bar. The grounds are whimsical and well kept. If you are looking for a laid back getaway.....this is it!

Having long weekend-tripped to Cedar Key for 20+ years (got engaged in town back in the 90's), we stumbled upon this place---specifically the Tiki Bar this time around. Obviously, unless you fly into the island Caribbean-like airport via your own plane, you have to drive right by this motel. We initially intended to bring our early teen kids with us,... More

Went to Low-Key Hideaway for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. What a great experience. Owners Pat and Cindy are the most gracious people you will ever want to meet. They made you feel so comfortable. Our room #3 was extremely clean and well appointed and a beautiful view of the water. Loved the Tiki Bar that we just walked... More

We've stayed here three times and keep coming back. The owners are friendly and really try to welcome you to their home. The views from the tiki bar or on their dock are better than Key West at Sunset. It is the perfect place to meet and get to know the locals of Cedar Key and travelers who are passing... More

We chose Low Key Hideaway based on the reviews here and were not disappointed. Although it is an old style "motel", the rooms were immaculately clean and well-kept. The view from their dock is unbelievable. The small grounds are beautiful. And the Hideaway Bar is a fun place to meet people (locals and tourists) and have a cocktail. Pat and... More
