I'd heard of Cedar Key for years, and finally, I went. I drove the ten hours south without a stop, and with the top down the last 125 miles, off the freeway, and headed to seemingly nowhere. 2,000 (rounded up) has been the total population of Cedar Key for decades. There's little to no beach, islands + bays everywhere, which... More

After taking a little side trip to Cedar Key for one night on our drive to Florida I knew that I just had to return to this little piece of paradise on our return home. We went back to our original hotel without a reservation to find that they did not have a vacancy. The manager recommended that we try... More

The Cedar Cove Beach & Yacht Club offers inexpensive lodging right on the water. The room was clean & quiet. There was a kitchen in the room that we really didn't use because of great restaurants w/in walking distance. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent, though a bit pricey w/ a limited menu. The owners are friendly, helpful and... More

Cedar Key really impressed us, very quiet & laid back. Cedar Cove was on edge of water, balcony was great. We rented a studio there for 5 additional days. Actually liked it better than 1 bedroom (loft with winding metal staircase , no bathroom up there & bed was smaller).

Cedar Key is a quaint little town situated on the Gulf in Central Florida. After seeing the pictures of the hotel on Cedar Cove Beach & Yacht Club's website, that was our expectation for our studio room located on the third floor. After visiting and being impressed by their website, we booked our room there several months in advance of... More

Just passing thru and wanted a little bit of old florida! We stayed in room 315. Views were wonderful but thousands could have been put into this room to get it up to date. Draperies were old, cabinets out of date, furniture winter like, very basic room. Would not stay again but loved the island

Was just driving through Cedar Key and decided to stay on the spur of the moment. The hotel was clean, the people friendly and the room was inexpensive. The views of the ocean were wonderful. The room was well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The bed was comfortable and sheets were new. The bathtub was out of order... More

Ended up in Cedar Key on a Wednesday night and was pointed toward this property. It was clean and comfortable with an excellent and friendly staff. Walking distance to alll downtown bars and restaurants and if you would like, golf cart rentals are available on site. My room had a kitchenette and a view of the marina. The hotel had... More

Wonderful staff. Friendly faces from the moment you check in until you leave. I was on the top floor facing the ocean. I could not ask for a better view. The restaurant staff was second to none. We ate there 4 times over the weekend. The restaurant served made to order meals and not just the everything fried menu .... More
