This was my third stay and I think it is a well run place. The charm is undeniable. I have yet to meet the owners, I have met their Inn sitter Rose, Who is wonderful. I almost have reached the point to where I feel like the place is just for me. Its so comfortable just to check in and... More

Hi (again!) Kevin-- You may not know that we've there, but we're there...seriously, though, this time we actually were on our own vacation for a change! We highly appreciate how well you express what we are, and what many others aren't. This is not the Waldorf Astoria, nor is it a highrise condo wanna-be. We are 115 or so years... More

Located in a quaint old Southern house, this B&B is not representative of other Deep South B&B's where we've stayed, which are usually excellent - comfortable, well-managed and serving a generous and delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the Old Carrabelle Hotel is not very comfortable (our bed sagged in the middle, the room was stuffy and windows were sealed shut), not very... More

While not without some charm, this hotel needs better maintenance and more amenities. It does not serve breakfast, but gives vouchers for 3 area restaurants, none of which are open until 7:30 or later. If you need to get an early start, you're out of luck. The owners are seldom around and provide no service: wastebaskets are not emptied, beds... More

Had an excellent night here. Comfortable room, quiet, well maintained, quaint. Hard to do better. Didn't talk to the owner much, but he's articulate and knows where to get a fine breakfast. Good value, especially with $7 breakfast credit, and convenient to downtown .

We felt right at home and relaxed quite well in this beautiful quaint old inn. The inn is full of unique character just like this region of Florida. Skip and Kathy were very cordial and generous hosts and we look forward to our next stay.

Our room was very clean and decorated nicely! The bed, was in need of a new mattress. We kept falling into the middle and it squeeked. We did not sleep well at all . It was hot and cool during the night. The pillows weren't great either. The inn keepers had a fridge so we could keep our snacks cold... More

Actually, there is no "New" Carrabelle Hotel, as best I could tell in this small but pleasant backwater Gulf-coast town whose primary industry (not unlike many land-locked backwater towns in Georgia) seems to be the fairly large penal complex in the woods on the way into town. Carrabelle takes its rightful place on Florida's "Forgotten Coast" and that's a good... More

I stayed in the flamingo room and absolutely loved it! There are nice touches all around this inn that was renovated with great care and love! The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. I also enjoyed the local breakfast down the road.

My wife and I took a mini-vacation from Tallahassee to Carrabelle, Florida (about 80 minutes' drive from home). We stayed at the Old Carrabelle Hotel in downtown Carrabelle (all 4 blocks of it). Our room was small, like what you get in many New York City older hotels, but the bathroom was large. The bedroom area held a queen bed,... More
