My wife and I stayed two nights at the Old Carrabelle in May 2014 on a week long motorcycle trip thru the panhandle and had a wonderful time. Accommodations were very nice and we got to meet and talk with the owners. The location allowed us to walk to the nearby waterfront area. We would stay there again.

Stayed in the Magnolia room for 4 nights. Nicely decorated, with a magnolia tree outside one window, deck porch and 2 chairs and another tree out the other window, so the view was pretty. Our porch seating area was very private, but you get the breeze on the more populated side of the porch, where you can hear music from... More

We were delightfully charmed by the stay at the Old Carabelle Hotel and enjoyed the lovely room and the 2nd floor wood balcony that overlooks Carabelle. Skip was also super helpful with information about the town and what to do and see. We also liked going to the Carabelle Junction for coffee down the street.

We stayed two nights in the Flamingo Room which was clean and comfortable. The Complimentary breakfast was awesome and we recommended Two Al's to our family. We were looking for a quiet getaway and this was just the ticket. Very relaxing and we still had lots of sights to see. We will come back and stay again!

We are always grateful for positive reviews, and for a number of reasons. This one is one of a group that we Particularly like to see, because it comes from the Florida panhandle. Our place on the coast is just about the last stand of "Old Florida", and the fact that we attract folks who live in the more highly-populated... More

I am in love with The Old Carrabelle Hotel Cottage. I stayed 3 weeks! would have stayed longer. Skip and Kathy make sure that everything is comfortable and lovely. They are always available, pleasant and right there for you if you need them. They had a way of being right there while giving me all the privacy I needed. I... More

I stayed 2 nights in the flamingo room and really enjoyed the accommodations. Kathy and Skip are great hosts and they made sure we had anything we needed, as well as keeping the rooms and common areas very clean. If you're looking to stay in Carabelle or in a 30-40 miles radius from it, I suggest you get in touch... More

The Old Carrabelle Hotel is a beautifully restored, classic turn of the century (~1890 something) guest home. Nicely decorated, well maintained, environmentally controlled rooms made this stay comfortable and memorable. Kathy and Skip are well organized and prepared to manage their guests and keep everything in working order. Our room key was ready for us when we arrived along with... More

Just one block from the main highway--easy to find--this B & B is extremely laid back. We have felt like we were at a friend's vacation house! This place doesn't try to be grand, and that is refreshing. It's friendly and relaxed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Old Carrabelle Hotel in Carrabelle, Florida is a “Key West style inn on The Forgotten Coast”. Once the end-of-the-line railroad hotel, now you may enjoy all the modern comforts in an Old Florida casual atmosphere. There is just something about the experience of a 1900-ish inn at the coast (or a coastal cottage at the coast) that no newer motel-hotel can equal. And we are a very different B&B operation – free restaurant breakfasts for Hotel guests, and self check-in -- just for starters. Make your own reservation online, and receive back a confirmation with all the info you may need. Don't Expect: traffic lights, lots of people, McHamburgers, bungee jumps or late-night noise. Do expect: the best seafood, eco-activity opportunities in every direction, and a lot of peace and quiet time on the property, in the forest or on the beach or water! ... more   less
