This review is late only because I let it slip after my holiday.... Stayed here in November 2011 for a couple of nights whilst on holiday in Florida with family. I can only say that this is one of the loveliest places I have stayed (and I am a travel agent). Its small, intimate, so peaceful and serene. My husband... More

I stayed at the Sun and Moon during January of 2012, and I brought my touring kayak and my fishing kayak to explore the area. The location turned out to be close to everything, and the accommodations were really nice. In order to fish or explore, I had only to walk my boats to the water and put them in... More

This place was so different. Feel in love with it. Fishing was out of this world you didn't know what you were going to catch. I have never relaxed so much on a holiday as this. Can't wait to go back very soon................ curt was ace jackie ( Angus) England

The Sun and Moon Inn is a charming Bed and Breakfast in a small Old Florida style fishing village (this means non-commercial and not crowded). If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway right on the waterway where you can experience phenomenal fishing, this is the place for you. We saw Jacks, Mullets, Snooks regularly. An osprey was... More

My husband and I followed the advise of fellow Tripadvisor contributors and stayed for 2 nights at the Sun and Moon Inn in Matlacha. This "Keys" type B & B was a perfect launching point for our day trips to Sanibel/Captiva and Pine Island since we didn't want to stay in a commercial/built up environment. Curt (the owner) did everything... More

I've been staying at the Sun and Moon for over five years. This is a unique destination that has everything I need as a traveling photojournalist. Spectacular views, comfortable beds, and quick access to one of Florida's most pristine habitats. It's Old Florida with all the comforts of modern age!

First stay with Curt and Sun and Moon Inn and it won't be our last. Pros: Rooms are exactly like pictured. Very clean and accomodating. The views off the seawall were awesome. Manatees pass just 50 feet away almost hourly it seemed. The dolphin must have known we were there and came to show off with evening spectacular water shows.... More

I have been staying at the Sun and Moon Inn for 3 or 4 years now when in town for business. Curt is a gracious host and will take care of you like family. The rooms are clean and there are always snacks and goodies in the frig. It’s amazing how you can walk into the back of the property... More

I'd been wanting to visit the Pine Island/Matlacha area for some time so when the opportunity finally came up, I made sure I had my reservations for this delightul bed and breakfast. I arrived in the late afternoon, after driving up from Everglades City, and soon found myself sitting by the waterway behind the inn, watching manatees and greeting every... More

We just returned from our 2nd visit to the Sun and Moon Inn. This time our friends flew down from New Jersey to spend the weekend with us. We had been telling them how much we loved our last stay with Curt so they decided to join us. They were as delighted with the Sun and Moon as we are.... More
