Mme Rose Dufour and her staff make you feel at home in this charming little hotel near cascading waters, surrounded by magnificent cliff faces along the River Tarn. Our 5 nights at half-pension were an Excellent value. We had gorgeous views from our room in the annex- comfortable spacious & equipped with modern facilities. Chef prepared some of the best... Near the delicious little town, the Tarn gorges are a dizzying succession of cliffs and chasms. if parts of the gorge are difficult to reach, the walk is easier at Saint-Chely-du-Tarn, a gem of a village at the centre of an ancient reclaimed meander . We were thrilled to get lodging here and what a cracker of a location for... More

St Chely is a beautiful village in the Gorge du Tarn and we really loved our stay here. The rooms are large and well appointed and the location guarantees a tranquil stay. Staff and friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent and we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch and dinner. This hotel, although independently run, is part of the Logis network... More

We were told that we would never get anywhere in the Tarn Gorge, France, booking last minute, as it was near the high season (very end of July). We looked online and found the website for this hotel and restaurant. The rooms were indeed mostly booked up but the cheapest basic twin bed room was available so we booked for... More

We enjoyed our previous visit so much we made a stop over here on our way south through France, and what I said last time still holds true. The location is simply stunning, and despite being in the tourist season this time not overcrowded, quiet and enjoyable. Rooms are a bit quirky, but enhanced by a nightingale singing just outside... Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small kids) spent two nights here and thought the Gorges du Tarn amazing, and the Auberge de la Cascade a great base to explore the area. The hotel itself (and our room) is nothing special (maybe 3-star) but the location is amazing, and we got great service from the staff (esp. Madame Rose)... More

The hotel is in the narrows of the Gorge du Tarn in a tiny village by the Tarn with some houses built into the cliffs, and a shop with an underground river running throught it. The view as you approach is simply stunning, and the road exciting going through a single lane rock tunnel with a right angle bend onto... More

St. Chely du Tarn was our first stop on a 7-day self-guided bike tour which started in Millau. What an amazing, jaw-dropping setting. All of our friends who have seen our pictures can't believe how beautiful it is. This is a tiny village-wayside might be a better term--with just the hotel, restaurant, church, chapel in a grotto, art studio and... More

The hotel is in a tiny hamlet, right next to the river. Our room was in one of the annexes, right next to the waterfall, which was very relaxing. The hotel has a heated infinity pool looking into the gorge, and is right next to a beach on the Tarn river. Fantastic scenery by day, and lit up spectacularly at... More

We chose to stay here as somewhere near to the Millau bridge. With no knowledge of the area the trip up the Gorges du Tarns was amazing and finished with the unique location of this hotel. We were touring on a motorbike and had the benefit of a garage for overnight shelter. Our room was in a building on the... More
