We spent three nights over Xmas and had a fantastic time. Six of us stayed in the old farm house which was wonderfully decorated. The farm is on a quiet side road very near a number of great river attractions. We biked on day, and went on a trip down one of the nearby rivers. The hosts are wonderful people... More

We just spent 4 nights at the Smoakhouse Ranch and had a fantastic time! We stayed in the Earl Cabin, and it was decorated for Christmas! We loved driving up the to house and seeing the llights on the front porch and the Xmas tree showing through the front window. What a sight! The amenities were great including a very... More

Cabins are "manufactured trailers", very small in all aspects. Shower so small kids could touch ceiling. "Large pond" is maybe 25 feet across and 2 feet deep. Bridge they mention to fish off of for catfish is about 12 feet long. Breakfast is packaged muffins and instant grits, oatmeal from Walmart. Website does not match your stay. Beware

We are very heartened by a rather odd review by Joe. With the greatest respect, please allow us to tell the entire story. We offer four different lodgings. Two are very well maintained "Park Model" cabins----the same as those used at Fort Wilderness in Orlando, and renting for $250 daily. At $99 and $119, they are the on-site "bargain". They... More

The smoakhouse ranch was wonderful from beginning to end, it's a home away from home. The owners Tim and Emily were wonderful too, not to mention Gina she made sure we had everything. we've already made reservations for thanksgiving, but this time for the Earl cabin (we stayed at the farmhouse). The cabin is historic with original fixtures, we took... More

We were immediately at home from the moment we arrived at The Farmhouse at Smoakhouse Ranch. Tim, Emily and Angela made certain everyday of our stay to our comfort by their attention to details Every evening we were left a log to burn which we grew to anticipate and enjoy before retiring. We were fortunate to witness a birth of... More

We have had the extreme pleasure of staying at the Smoakhouse Ranch for two Christmases now, and in the summer and late fall, and every stay is exceptional! the cabins are very well appointed - just absolutely cozy and comfy - everything is top notch from the furnishings (that bed in the Earl Cabin is the most comfortable we have... We were just there for Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. Despite showing up on the holiday, Tim and Emily provided a warm welcome to us. Their neice was in town helping out, too. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the Earl cabin. It had all the comforts of home and a bed to beat... More

We had group of family and friends that stayed in the farmhouse over the Labor Day Weekend using it as a base for some of the local springs and had a great time. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable and homey. Emily was very helpful in guiding us about the local area and pointing out all the things to do there.... More

I couldn't just tell you one thing that was great about this place, they whole stay from beginning to end was just above all expectations. We arrived late at night, about 12am, and the owner, Mrs. Emily, was nice enough to wait up for us and even came to meet us to guild us down the dark country road, thankfully!!... More

We had a really nice stay at the Smoakhouse Ranch. The cabin was very nice, the jacuzzi and pool were good and we enjoyed the relaxing time there very much. The use of the BBQ area is also possible and we could also feed the donkey, cows and other animals. The owners were very friendly and helpful, gave us good... More
