We stayed in the "cabins" during our visit to Bahia Honda State Park. The accommodations, though dated and not truly "turn key", were a real steal for the price, and the view was spectacular. The staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. We would have given it 5 stars if not for the overwhelming number of blood sucking "no-see-ums" and crude... More

We tent camped here about 20 years ago. And decided to try it again March 5-15. Our Sandspur campsite was open to the road, And without power. It was also a long way to the bath house. The staff was superb. But the campground is the same as it was 20 years ago. Almost no cell service, no power, hard... More

We had a water front lot amazing view! The beach is beautiful and perfect for kids because it' s shallow very far out. We really enjoyed that park and for sure we will come back. The only negative point was the restroom they are not clean and smell very bad.

We had such a great time here. The water was so beautiful and I loved that in most places it was shallow far out. Perfect for little ones. The campground staff was super nice. They had different programs each day...fun for the whole family. We were there in March and the weather was perfect. We had no problem with mosquitos... More

We camped here in March, and while the mosquitoes were out it was still a beautiful place to camp. I was very glad to be in bayside camping area because the other sections did not seem as private. The beach was nice and the kids had a great time snorkeling. We will be back!

I really just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Bahia Honda. We spent 10 glorious days in one of the cabins in late February/early March. This requires planning far ahead; these rooms go like concert tickets 11 months out. The term "cabin" is a little misleading since although it was basic, we had our own upper and lower... More

We asked several locals where the best beaches were and this was the hands down the favorite. It was nine dollars for two of us to enter the park. We were told by one person we met to go left at the "t" when you enter the park and go all the way to the end to sand spur beach.... More

This was our first visit to the keys and Bahia Honda was an excellent choice (although, based upon the reviews we have seen, I would avoid camping in the heat of the summer). Even late November we had temps in the mid to high 80's, which made it a little uncomfortable at night. The camp sites have either electricity or... More

My title sums up my visit. Wonderful beaches (almost empty in the morning),superb nature, fastidious clean. Being able to walk on the old bridge and seeing the old train bridge from nearby added to my enjoyment.
