I stayed here while attending a conference held at the hotel - the hotel and my room were beautiful! There were some things in my room that needed some minor maintenance (ex/ trim on foot of desk was loose/damaged), but otherwise it was perfect. The service was great (including the room service!).

Hotel Du Pont is the gem in Wilmington DE. I chose this hotel because of the proximity where I needed to be, and I made a right choice. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to make their guest welcome!!! Do not look any further , this is the best Hotel by far In this... More

Stayed for one night in August. Purpose was to visit Longwood gardens and the hotel offered a package. I should have researched a bit better as i thought Longwood gardens was only 1 or 2 miles away. We were on a 3 week tour of PA, DE and NJ and this was supposed to be a special place to stay... More

Previous reviews noting problems with the staff are absolutely correct. The people at the front desk are cold and truly could not care less about the guests. When compared to any Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons - which are comparably priced - the Hotel du Pont does not even come close in terms of the experience you have. Unfortunately for... More

My wife, mother-in-law and her sister stayed in two deluxe kings (more like mini-suites) at the Hotel Du Pont. I was there for a golf tournament and they hung out downtown during the day. The rooms were great. While you could tell you were at an older hotel (no icemakers, had to call room service. No flat-panel HDTV), the renovations... More

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend gathering. The hotel is beautifully apportioned, very clean and well decorated, and an overall pleasant stay. They offered a menu of small extras that made you feel welcome and pampered. We didn't choose any of the spa treatments, because they were just a little too indulgent. The bar was taken over... More

We stayed here, with the Longwood Gardens package. What a deal! We had a $100 voucher for food, tickets to Longwood Gardens, and free valet parking. Not to mention, the suite included, was so beautiful. The bed was SO comfy, as well as the slippers. Also, breakfast in the Green Room was a treat. I would highly recommend this place,... More

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Nice hotel inside, fantastic rooms (very spacious, great bathrooms). The experience was let down by shoddy service. In the evening the surprisingly tiny bar was busy, with one person serving. At breakfast the next moring we had two people to greet us and find us a seat (a laughingly complex process... More

We booked this hotel for it's history with the Duponts as well as the convenience because we were attending a wedding reception at this hotel. We did not have a problem with the hotel except that the toilet wasn't flushing properly the night we arrived. The hotel front desk was quick to help. The plumber was already gone for the... More

We arrived at the Hotel Dupont, the valet whisked the car away, the front desk checked us in quickly, efficiently and was "friendly/professional. The lobby is large and grand in scale and style. My room was unbelievable. You walk into a hallway, with his and her closets on the left with a dresser in-between. The bathroom on the right was... More
