Service is outstanding, personnel really know what to do to please you. Room lacked of common amenities like "make your coffee", drawers for clothing, safe too small. Air extraction at the bathroom too noisy, I recommend you sleep with the bathroom door closed as it can't be turned off. Small space at the shower with the curtain, and air extraction... More

I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times now, and both experiences have been great! The hotel is a nice historical, establishment that is not the normal "cookie cutter" hotel. I've stayed in a single room and a room with double beds. Both have a seating area with generous seating. Pocket doors close off the bathroom from a vanity... More

There are parts of this old historic hotel they are very quaint, such as the dining room, but the rest of the hotel is very tired. All the facilities are very clean ( lobby / rooms / bathrooms / corridors etc ), but all the rooms and bathrooms are old and tired. The bathrooms are of an age where they... More

Expect a delightful example of an old world style hotel from an American Golden age. The rooms are large junior suites. Great for business people, romantic couples & families. The public spaces are palatial and visually stunning. Service is frankly: exceptional. The rooms do appear slightly dated but that's part of the charm. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is... More

Stayed in a room on the 11th floor for a wedding and the entire experience-from check in to wedding to brunch to check out was great. The room was huge and well appointed with the bathroom being larger than some hotel rooms we have stayed in. The room was clean, quiet and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The... More

The Hotel du Pont is an historical property in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware. While not run down by any means, the hotel is dated. It has "current" features like flat screen TVs, but nearly everything else is a bit old and stuff. It looks like the bathrooms have been updated recently, so those were very nice and large. There... This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Our room was large with a separate sitting area and an oversized bathroom that had both a shower & tub. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Along with turn down service, bottles of water were delivered to our room each night. Everyone that worked there was very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay... More

The hotel is beautiful. The lobby, dining room, etc. are spectacular, and the room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. We paid for the basic, entry-level room and I'm not aware they upgraded us (though it was a corner room), so I can only imagine what a higher-priced room would look like. The staff - parking, bellman, front... More

Really elegant with lots of original features.Staff polite and friendly but it did take a good while for luggage to reach the rooms.Bedrooms large and comfortable.Very little choice of places to eat locally so you will need to eat in.Local area not very safe to go out at night.Unless you wish to visit an historic hotel or you have business... This is a beautiful old elegant hotel that has been modernized, so don't take the "old" statement to mean run down. The sleeping rooms are large and the meeting rooms really stunning. I planned a three day event at this property and the space is terrific. Overall staff need to step up. There were multiple mistakes in rooming lists, billing... More
