This hotel is a historic hotel and extremely impressive. It was absolutely beautifully decorated for the holidays! Service was wonderful. Our room was nice and spacious. Very deep tub but the shower head was low. Temperature control didn't seem to work as we weren't able to make the room too cool. Wifi was absolutely awful so we gave up trying... More

We stayed at Hotel du Pont for an evening while in town for the holidays visiting friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and historic beauty of the hotel. Check in was quick and easy. We found our room to be beautiful and incredibly large for a standard king. In fact, the room was more of a suite set... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a package we purchased that included two tickets to the Holiday Light Show at Longwood Gardens. The accommodations are splendid: lovely hotel room, every amenity offered, excellent restaurant on site. We will return here, most definitely.

I stayed at the Hotel du Pont two nights, December 12-13, 2014. I was in town for my sister's wedding which was also at the hotel. First of all...the hotel is GORGEOUS in every respect. The historic building is in great shape and the details are lovingly cared for. Look up - even the ceiling is elaborate and fantastic. When... More

This hotel can be your destination. Beautiful rooms, excellent dining rooms and exceptional service. And, there is so much to see and enjoy in the Wilmington area. Winterthur Mureum, Longwood Gardens, Hagley Museum, Nemour, Delaware Natural History Museum. You could spend, easily, 3 days here, and with the DuPont Hotel as your base, you would never be bored.

The good: Large, quiet, comfortable room. Bed and all furniture is comfortable. Bathrrom is huge, with a large tub separate from the shower. Plenty of space for everything including two closets. The staff take very good care of the guests. The bad: There is not a coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. They delivered a refrigerator at no charge,... More

If you're from out of town and seeing a show at the Grand Opera House, like we were, this is a great place to stay instead of driving home. Everything was wonderful, no complaints. Have breakfast in The Green Room and pretend you're a Dupont and don't care about the cost. We did and it was great fun. Have a... More

We were here with a large group for a wedding. While the wedding and reception was not held here, this was our base! We had a large king room which was very quiet, clean and in excellent condition. There were two roomy closets, along with safe, slippers and plush robes. The room was very large and also had a sitting... More

We were married here in 2006, and try and sneak away from the in-laws whenever we are in town for at least one night. I especially like it during the Christmas Season. The rooms are comfortable, clean and elegant. They are also reasonably priced. A hotel of this caliber would be 4 times the cost in NYC (at least). Always... More

This hotel is old but luxurious. The sleeping rooms are large with high ceilings and the bathrooms are quite large too, with a make up area. Our room had a living room area as well as the bedroom and two separate closets. We paid $149/night and it was well worth it. Clean, quiet, good service. The only thing I did... More
