I have stayed at this Marriott twice, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Newark. It might be a little more expensive--we paid $135 night with our AAA discount--but it is so clean and comfortable. The beds are really comfortable, and they are covered with clean duvets instead of a gross hotel comforter. The place is brand new... more

From Feb 09 to May 09 I have stayed at this Marriott for a total of 6 weeks. This is a great place. I am greeted by name whenever I walk through the lobby and that was after my first week. A number of U Delaware students work there and they are expertly trained. I am always satisfied by my... more

After driving around Newark for an hour trying to find a hotel room that was not that expensive and did not stink to high heaven, we ran into the Courtyard on the U of D campus. We paid $135 for 2 queens on a Sunday night. Check-in was quick and once we were settled we went down to the restaurant... more

This courtyard is located ON the U-Del property, as such it can be a little tricky to find. The property is very well maintained, rooms are clean and up-to-date, breakfast is excellent. I wish they had a manager's reception though. more

I combined returning my daughter to college at the University of Delaware with a little mommy time. The hotel was wonderful. big fluffy pillows, a quiet room with comfy chair, roomy bathroom and a nice little gym. Fresh fruit on the reception desk, very cheerful and helfpful staff and a fun cupcake construction site display that showed whimsy and fun.... more

Stayed overnight for a wedding this past weekend. The staff is courteous and always greet you upon entering the hotel. I Have to agree wuth previous posts, finding it is a little difficult when you are not familiar with the area. The rooms are typical business traveler oriented, furnishings are OK and the bed comfortable. All in all a decent... more

We have stayed here several times since our son entered UD. Always exceptionally clean, comfortable, warm and friendly. The only downside is that the Courtyard is the best/closest Marriott choice to UD, so be prepared to pay considerably more for the convenience. I believe they sell out often so this would be a good location for another Marriott hotel! more

My family of 3 stayed 2 nights. The entire hotel is nonsmoking. While we were there, the hotel was booked due to a conference and also due to new student/parent orientation at the University of Delaware. We made our reservation through priceline. When my husband checked in, Erika initially could not find a room for us because of maintenance issues.... more

My friends and I were in town for the NASCAR race in Dover. We had some troubles finding the hotel as we were not familiar with the area and there were lots of turns. Luckily, the Courtyard had signs up and we spotted them and were able to find our way. We got to check in right away (it was... more

Ended up at this hotel based on reviews (I didn’t want to repeat my previous bad luck in the Newark area). We had a nice large, modern, clean room - -with FIVE pillows on the bed. As a pillow fan this was a huge plus. Now about that breakfast. I like hotels with some sort of free breakfast for the... more
