Lovely place to stay and worth the visit. The history in the town of New Castle is worth going to see. I spent a wonderful two days here and enjoyed myself immensely. I went to their fabulous park and took a canoe ride and shopped in their quaint shops and loved the bed and breakfast. So worth it

Having no idea what to expect going in I must say how much I enjoyed the Tea. There is so much history in the venue. The town of Old New Castle is such a great way to spend a day. So many surprises. It's not over commercialized, remarkable when you consider the history. Enjoy a Tea or stay over night.... More

My wife and I were in Wilmington to see a play over the weekend and we decided it would be better to spend the night rather than return home after the show. There are the typical choices of hotels to choose from in and around the City, but a mere 15 minutes away you have the opportunity to travel back... More

My friend and I celebrated her birthday by visiting this fascinating little town and going to the Terry House for tea. The experience there was like truly stepping back in time, with the beautifully set dining room table, surrounded by collections of china in the cabinets there. Our hostess was welcoming and gave us a little of the history of... More

I took my 13 year old granddaughter to have tea at this wonderful B&B. She loved it as much as I did. It seemed liked we were having tea in an elegant old world dining room for just the two of us. The tea and food were both excellent. The hostess was very friendly and served us perfectly. I would... More

We found this inn when we drove to the center of historic New Castle one evening hoping for a place to stay. Terry House is the only B&B left and there was a room available for us. This place is for travellers who want quaint, historic, quirky owner. It is not for travellers who want neat, tidy, amenities, and mod... More

This was a very old house and really enjoyed hearing the background to it. Very comfortable bed and stay--breakfast was delightful. Yummy Belgian Waffles--owners and other guests there very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again. They have a wonderful 2nd floor porch to sit on in the sun! Right in the middle of Old New Castle, So walking is great!

They managed to fit us in at the last moment in the smallest room in the inn, SMALL it was but hey was there for a wedding and wanted to stay close to the venue. Saw other rooms which were just lovely. The house is eclectic at that. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and the women who works there was... More

The Terry House visit we had was nauseating. First, what should have been the living room, a place to sit and visit with other guests, was like a hoarder's room. (There was no sign asking for patience while they were renovating, this seemed to us the natural state of the room.) Our room was - well dirty and unkempt. The... More

The visit just wasn't what we hoped for, even after reading reviews and the website. Here are a few heads-up: 1. If you're looking for a quiet night's rest, don't stay in the Camellia Room. On the other side of the alley is a bar, and we heard LOUD music late at night. Now that I think about it, we... More
