Montchanin Inn is so unique.....an historic village converted into tasteful tourist accommodations. We had a lovely, relaxing 3 nights on this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our suite (Tatnall) along Privy Lane, and also enjoyed breakfast at Krazy Kats, the restaurant on the property. Montchanin Inn is also so close to any and all of the Brandywine attractions. We would highly... More

This inn is a good example of "adaptive reuse". Originally a village housing employees of the DuPont Company, it is now a collection of several houses retrofitted as a country inn, No two rooms or suites are alike. All are outfitted with the best amenities. The complex is close to the attractions of Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley, but secluded... More

We stayed here over Christmas, and the Main Lodge was beautifully decorated and inviting. Tea and soft drinks and snacks were available for free, and there was an honor bar in the evening, but not very well stocked. Free wifi in the main lodge. This Inn is a preserved historic Village, right in the center of everything Dupont. It is... More

A very nice boutique inn near Longwood and Winterthur gardens. My wife and I have been staying here about once a year for the past ten or more years every time we want to visit Longwood and Winterthur gardens. Each room is different in style and size but all of the rooms we had over the years were comfortable and... More

This place is very quaint and lovely. The rooms are very clean and updated. The bed is very comfy. Its best to come in the summer time as the gardens are beautiful. Always enjoy my visit here. Will come again in the summer!!

We met my daughter and her husband at this lovely inn half way between NYC and Washington D.C. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage that had a living room with a kitchenette. The space was perfect for all of us. The main building has a fireplace, snacks, an honor bar and games. There is a restaurant on the premises... More

The good. A great little place convenient to everything. Nice restaurant and wonderful great room for hanging out with a glass of wine. The bad. They don't seem to understand their own specials. We booked the "Inn Credible" weekday special and got three different prices from two different people. I was glad I had saved the e-mail confirming the lower... More

We booked this hotel through Orbitz purely on the basis of being close to the Dupont Country Club as we were attending a formal event. We got a reasonable deal. The positives; - It is certainly different/quaint - set up like a small village with the reception/spa/fitness/lounge in a large building and the accommodations in separate buildings about 100 yards... My friend had stayed here two other times; I fully understand why she wanted to return! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; easy access to Winterthur, Longwood, etc., etc. The "house" was very clean, service excellent, and the dust of snow the perfect holiday touch! :-) NEVER have I slept on such luxurious sheets; the coffee "bar" well supplied; the bathrooms... We spent 2 nights in December to tour all of the holiday things at Longwood, Winterthur and Hagley, and enjoy all the great things in the Brandywine area. Belin was our king suite, and very nice. The stairs up to the bed and bath were steep, but not a problem for us. And what a great 2nd floor it is.... More
