We stayed at the Inn for two nights and were provided with double storey accommodation. This had a good sized bedroom upstairs with an en-suite bathroom containing a walk-in shower as well as a bath. The bed was king-sized and very comfortable. The small lounge downstairs contained a fridge, a microwave, and a TV which was in addition to the... More

The Inn at Montchanin Village was a great place to stay while visiting local attractions. It's well-located and a nice change of pace from a hotel or B&B. We opted for an additional package that included vouchers to local attractions and meals at the Inn - worth the price. The gathering room in the main building provided a nice afternoon... More

A friend and I stayed at the Inn at Monchanin Village for a week while visiting Winterthur, Nemours, Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine Museum. The Inn was so conveniently located to access all of these venues and more. The Inn consists of 28 restored properties from the original village. We stayed in "Rodney", a 3 story townhouse. We had a... More

We spent one night here to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Sept. 14, 2014. We stayed at the Colonel Suite which was perfect. It had a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace (which we used as it was chilly last night), comfortable bed and amenities, and large bathroom. The main road is nearby all of the units at the Inn,... More

What a delight this unusual resort is! The inn is an actual tiny village with a spa and an excellent restaurant near Wilmington. The well appointed, very comfortable rooms are all in former duplex houses. Ours had two nice bedrooms with private baths. Dinner in the Krazy Kats restaurant was excellent both nights and our spa massages very relaxing. If... More

I am over 50 but that being said, don't generally have a lot of issues. The number of stairs and the steepness of them was challenging. Also, the property is old and has accompanying mildew and odors which they attempt to cover up with potent plug-ins, to which I am allergic. The staff was friendly and the "barn" reception area... Had a really wonderful and relaxing two days with my daughter at this lovely Inn and Spa. The staff simply couldn't have been any more accommodating! Montchanin makes you feel like you have temporarily been transported to a simpler, gentler time and place-how incredibly refreshing!!!

This was our second stay at this inn. The accommodations vary, so be sure to check their website. This is an historic village of buildings of varying dates, turned into lovely rooms. The first stay was in a free standing building, and our second stay was a room in a building of 4 rooms. Each stay was unique and wonderful;... More

What a delightful and wonderful surprise. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived for a meeting. I am so very glad we selected this property. My guest room turns out was one of the most popular and I could see why. The room was oversized as was the bathroom. The bathroom had great lighting (a frequent complaint... More
