I live 50 miles from here and stayed for a work event. I would consider staying again overnight just to experience the best in class service, all over again. Small touches made this a unique experience. Turndown service included an insulated carafe of cold water and mats placed on each side of the bed. The large bath tub, walk in... more

We enjoyed our overnight stay here while touring the DuPont museums and estates in the area. We loved many things about this property. We found the inn to be genuinely relaxing, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. (Take a stroll down Privy Lane at dusk – very cute!) The inn is conveniently located near many of the Brandywine area attractions.... more

We were 3 couples traveling for a long weekend visiting the DuPont Mansions, gardens and the historic character of the Brandywine Valley. We had an exceptionally pleasant stay. This Inn is unlike any we've been to. The "houses" are along Privey Row, a private cobblestone, tree lined, flower filled, 19th century street running from the Reception building to Krazy Kat... more

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Inn at Montachanin Village and made a memory that will last a lifetime. The Inn is beautiful recreation of a late 1800 early 1900 DE working community with fragrant flowers everywhere including our room. The room we stayed in was a one bedroom suite and it was delightful. Every... more

What a pleasant stay! We expected a nice property after seeing the reviews and the website, but were bowled over once we arrived on site. First, there was the fragrance of flowers throughout the property, including each time we'd open our door. Our deluxe room was incrediblly comfortable and full of amenities; a mini-bar stocked daily with free soft drinks... more

Just returned from a weekend get away and couldn't have picked a better place. The spa was everything you would hope for. All of the staff was very nice and did anything to make you happy and relaxed. We stayed in the Henry suite which had enough room to host a small party. We will be returning! more

To say that we had a nice time at the Inn at Montchanin Village is an understatement. From the twinkle lights on the trees outside, to the consistantly friendly staff, to the restaurant, to our suite (complete with flowers, complimentary snacks and drinks and a gigantic tub and shower), everything was perfect and perfectly luxurious. I'm generally not a fan... more

The inn is a charming small hotel. The rooms are in different houses on the property becuase of this you feel that you have your own private house. We had a sutie which was very large and had many thoughtful touches---heated towelrack, flowers in the bathroom, well stocked mini bar with plates, cups, silverware. Breakfast at Krazy Kat which is... more

My husband and I stayed at Montchanin on our wedding night last September. My husband called and booked a suite with the help of the front desk staff. They note on their website that each room is different so the front desk people can help book the room to your needs. The bedroom itself was gorgeous, as was the bathroom.... more

Sep 22, 2008 | Trip type: Family

We stayed one night in a 2 bedroom suite ($399) for a family event. This is a lovely property- the gardens are impossibly beautiful, and the common spaces are handsomely decorated. Our room was large and very comfortable, with a sitting area and wet bar (with fridge) on the lower level, and two bedrooms on the upper level. The 2... more
