Had a really wonderful and relaxing two days with my daughter at this lovely Inn and Spa. The staff simply couldn't have been any more accommodating! Montchanin makes you feel like you have temporarily been transported to a simpler, gentler time and place-how incredibly refreshing!!!

This was our second stay at this inn. The accommodations vary, so be sure to check their website. This is an historic village of buildings of varying dates, turned into lovely rooms. The first stay was in a free standing building, and our second stay was a room in a building of 4 rooms. Each stay was unique and wonderful;... More

What a delightful and wonderful surprise. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived for a meeting. I am so very glad we selected this property. My guest room turns out was one of the most popular and I could see why. The room was oversized as was the bathroom. The bathroom had great lighting (a frequent complaint... More

Our fifth trip to the area and have always found the Inn to be the best. You do not get a room, it is an experience beyond description. We have not stayed in every suite but have never stayed in the same one twice. We have never been disappointed. Highly recommend the Inn and the adjoining Krazy Katz Restaurant.

It was our first visit to Delaware. We absolutely loved the Inn! We checked in, in the evening and the girls at the desk were wonderful. The cottages and the grounds were beautiful! We ate dinner and breakfast at Krazy Kats. The food was very good, staff were attentive. I was also able to have a spa service. The spa was... More

The inn is a collection of restored cottages within which the guest accommodations are located. The reception, common areas and spa are located in the center of the complex in a building that was the original settlement’s barn. Each room is unique and has custom features and characteristics. The rooms are named for an individual with some past association with... More

This June's stay at the Inn was our second -- the first in 2013 had been so delightful we wanted more (not just another stay but a longer one). For us, this is a stopping place in an annual long journey among family in the South and the North -- and a delightful way to break up the dreadful DC/NYC... More

What a wonderful place! We only spent 12 hours there but what a wonderful 12 hours. Service perfect, grounds perfect, room perfect. Hard to describe anything beyond that. We moved my daughter to Wilmington from Georgia and spent 2 nights in regular suites hotels (nothing fancy). After move in day, we got to relax here. Quiet and wonderful. Can't wait... More

We found this delightful Inn after being disappointed in a reservation we had made somewhere else. We were early in the season so lucked out that they had room for us. It was my daughter and I traveling together. They have a twin beds cottage that is so delightful you don't want to leave. Had we known about this Inn... More
