We had booked four nights at this campground in June, but we ended up leaving after only two nights. The campsites are tiny and very close together, which we knew, so we reserved one along the outer edge. It was larger and afforded a bit more privacy, which was nice, though we still were close enough to converse with our... More

We stayed at the campground in tents and it was just perfect for what we expected. There are different ground surfaces some sandy some not, if you have a preference you may want to ask. It was a pretty good walk to the ocean, but you can drive as well if you have stuff to haul. The restrooms/bathhouses weren't the... More

We rented two of the relatively new cabins side-by-side. These were clean and well designed, with plenty of cubby hole space for your bags. There is a small refrigerator and heating/cooling. On the website it said that each cabin had one queen bed, two bunk beds and one sofa bed. In actuality the two cabins we rented had one queen... More

Fee to enter park. Pass valid til end of day. Nice flat hiking trail taking you into the quiet peacefulness of sea birds, vegetation, and surf. There is even a few WWII towers for a little history. There is a beach access which is less crowded and does not have lifeguards.

I don't even know where to begin. This was our first family camping trip with our kids 5 and 1. We wanted to go camping and have the beach all in one trip. THIS IS YOUR PLACE! We loved so much about this place so I will try to cover it all. We stayed at campsite #24- which would have... More

We spent a long weekend camping in our hybrid travel trailer at Cape Henelopen campground Sep 6th-9th, 2013. Large groups of party goers are not encouraged at the campground, but rather this is the perfect place for families or people just looking to get away from it all and relax. I wouldn't recommended Cape Henlopen Campground for those looking to... More

I'll start with the good part, we stayed on site 42 for 3 nights, very large campsite, lots of space to spread out and not crowd your neighbors. Services are very poor here, washrooms filthy, not enough of them, long walk to get to them, 3 showers for a very large campground is not nearly enough! Located in wooded area... More

My family and I just returned from two nights of camping at Cape Henlopen. We had a wonderful getaway and enjoyed the many biking paths, nature center, children's programs, wildlife, proximity to Rehoboth Beach for games/rides/restaurants, and the quiet of the campground. Although there are many families, the campground is silent after 10. A few tips: - Our site (#12)... More

So my husband and children drove four hours from NYC to see the Delaware beaches for the first time. We live within 30 minutes of the best Jersey Shore beaches but wanted to see something different. But what a disappointment! I dragged my family there to have them spend a total of eight minutes on a super super crowded beach... More

Great location. Great location. The park is beautiful. Lots to see, short walk from campground to a fairly secluded beach. Trails were not all that well marked. The campground itself. My main gripe is that the rest rooms/shower facilities are way too small for the number of campsites there. Our site was on the perimeter, was large, clean and felt... More
