What a wonderful state park conveniently located very close to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. The campsites are small and very close together, but worth the stay. The watch towers, barracks, bunkers and retired artillery remain dotted throughout the park. Great photo ops of the coast from the tower. Beautiful beaches and bikes are available to visitors, lots of trails. Awesome... More

I love this Campground. Plenty of trees around, ok to have a campfire and nice bathhouse. It's near the beach. It does not offer electric so make sure to plan ahead. The new bathhouse offers individual rooms each having a toilet and bathroom stall. There is plenty of privacy and room to change without getting your clean clothes wet. The... More

We've been coming here for years and add extra nights each time since there's so much to do. A new addition this year is improvements to the Junction and Breakwater Rail/Trail. It's even more of a bike/pedestrian-oriented trail so you don't need to ride on main roads until you come to the wide bike lanes. Another improvement is the bath... More

What a great campground! We had a lovely camp site along the edge, near the newly built 3rd bathhouse. The campground and bathhouse was kept spotlessly clean and we never had to wait to use the private shower rooms. Our site was nicely screened from neighbors by trees and was plenty deep with generous room for two tents. We had... More

The park itself, the beach, the history all great, but I just can't do the camping in a sardine can anymore. the biting flies, the mosquitos are one thing, but the late night activities and loud talking of other campers is just to much. Out of courtesy and privacy, one has to all but whisper while encamped. when others mention that you are... More

I enjoyed the bike trails in and around the campground. The sites themselves, however, were r to my liking - very open and very close to each other. That said I got lucky and got one with two trees close enough so I just out up my hammock instead of my tent. I didn't kick out in the quiet department... More

This state park is a real gem. Beautiful beaches, great bike paths all around the park including one that runs all the way down to Rehoboth DE. There is a camping area, 4-Wheel Drive beaches and plenty of parking. And don't miss the bunkers and aircraft defense sites if Fort Hill. You tend to forget that this was a major... More

I stayed for one night at this campground. Most of the other campers were packing up as there was a storm on the way. I can see how it could become very crowded when the park is full. My site was great and the bathhouse was clean. :) I also found the "Borrow a Bike" program located at the Nature... More

We came to Cape Henlopen to do some surf fishing and figured we would just set up shop at the camp grounds to stay while we were in town .. Being from the west coast and camping a lot up in Yosemite and places like that I didn't have high expectations .. It's just a different type of camping here... More

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night. We really enjoyed the location. We walked the bike path over to the observation tower and the fort. We drove to the beach only a couple minutes from our site. As others said though, the sites are on top of each other and have very little privacy. Some spaces just have... More
