The hotel is across from an extremely noisy nightclub. Beware if you want to relax or sleep without disturbances. The hotel is close to the beach which is nice. We at the Sand Place Motel work hard to insure all our guests are happy. As you can see here, it is impossible to make everyone happy. A fire at a power sub-station caused a power outage for the whole area. After local firefighters spent more than two hours fighting the fire, it took the power company another eight hours...
the worse experience ever...given room in corner...no view except garbage cans from building next door... dirty towels left in room from previous guests...asked to be moved...given another room with even dirtier conditions...finally left after only 2 hours...was refused a refund more
Our room was quite dirty--the pillows looked unwashed and when we asked for them to be replaced the service people were reluctant and rude. One friend was CUT by a piece of glass (!)
